Politicians vs. Statesmen..

People widely confuse Politicians with Statesmen.. While no politician would retire poor, statesmen do.. Some only gain, and others truly rule..!! Ironically, this applies on everything from small household, to the biggest cityhall..!! Just look carefully around..!!
While almost 70% of any population are commons; who seriously cannot politically determine, democracy is further proven luxurious.. Politician deliberately play on physical and emotional needs to chair, short in road mapping serious national interest, and set aligns with who would reward them for their claimed tough fights for the commons..!!
The 3rd world does not need new leaders to rule.. It needs more teachers to understand.. Knowledge never ride with politics.. Therefore, our nations are scoring in democratic applications and themes; while rates of poverty, illiteracy and diseases are still high.. Change will not come with politics, but with Machiavellianism..!!
Today; certainly there is no chance..!!

  1. Adil, would you please explain a bit more to me what you mean by "Change will not come with politics, but with Machiavellianism" . If I could have followed your metacommunication while saying this, I would have known whether you were ironically or sarcastically stating this...But with this written context I can't see. Maybe I should, but I have some slow-moving mind...
I like the comment, only this one sentence...
I grew up in Europe, so I have an idea about machiavellian "morals" and "ethics".

  2. Dear Hana.. Salaam..
Thanks for your quality debates and life-injection to my blog..!!
The cunning and Duplicity associated with Machiavellianism were conditioned by a purpose had been illustrated in “The Prince”.. That patriotic Ruler, who is incapable to turn his “praised plans” into realities; would be forgiven to use all means to build the supporting alliance and hold the necessary executive powers. The Arabic translation says: The cause justifies the means..!
Democratically, this is not acceptable, as it plays on the edges of both Dictatorships and Chauvinism..!
The theory of Natural Balance or “Bill Syndrome” denies the capacity of epistemic choice among the commons; which tells why corrupt politicians succeed.. Their eloquence and charisma; can drive the commons, and establish legal justifications not the moral ones.. Yes, I do realize how my statement is delicate and almost inapplicable, yet it was journalistic and philosophical..
I had said earlier that “Change” had brought Obama; not Obama will bring “Change” (despite my believe that he is more of a Statesman than a Politician).. Universally; Politicians can easily extract both emotions and concepts from the national consciousness, build their own legacies and pyramids, and seat atop..! Politicians can easily read and match the public pulse, not create one.. On the contrary; Statesmen build moral consensus on what needed to be done; and share the same parameters with the smallest paid worker.. Politician run Campaigns; while Statesmen run Projects.. Which is more appealing for the commons..?

  3. "Which one of us
    listens to the hymn
    of the brook
when the tempest speaks?" (my Gibran)
People of course choose the harsher, the louder, the noisier, the more comfortable....the more advertized. And the sentimental, the easily digestable kitsch instead of true, deep emotions. Usually...up to the present...But people are changing nowadays. I meet and talk to people, and look around and I have so high hopes on them, on us! Immorality, loudness have gone to the extremes by now, can't go further anymore. Life can't be accepted this way...Change will come from the commons! Not from above, downwards, but from society, from below, upwards! There are many signs of that! Many people work for the others, more and more civil organizations are existing and working hard! I DO HOPE that we, common people can make the change...with our smart projects and with all our hearts...silently, without campaigns

  4. Dear Hana…
Sometimes I feel you are my Guardian Angle, who keeps me on track..!!
Despite being among my traditional comfort zone in the Middle East; I had discovered how much being distracted from the scientific order..!! Our middle Class and Commons are just alike the Medieval Europe.. The triggers for Maslow Concept, where the search for physical needs, and securing them are the sole interest of the most.. If someone would be promoted, he will seek further physical satisfaction rather than moral ones..!! This is what would spoil my context..
Yes, I do agree with you, on how changes in Europe are now carried out by ordinarily people and commons.. initiatives of Green, Sustainability and Governance are empowered by the middle class, who yet speak the same tongue of the commons.. This is where Europe is more successful than the others.. As Sarkozy had put it; “US debates the universal health care; which had been successfully implemented in Europe many decades ago..”
Therefore, I decided to migrate to UK in few months inshaallah..!!
    Be Blessed..!

  5. Is that really, really so hopeless in the Middle East? My heart is for Islamic culture and its people...My soul feels at home over there and my mind in Europe...(Always a homeless :))
I have planned to stay there (in the UAE)for some years, to make some silent, simple initiatives. I need to do something for those children and women. Do you think that hopeless? I don't think of big actions...Only to show a different way of life, talking with people... During my visits in the Sudan, women were so open, they asked me a little about this and that, and slowly life can change around you. Just because you show a nice and meaningful life...What do you think?
It seems that we change place :)

  6. If you are for a swap on places; you have a deal with immediate effect..!!
Welcome to the silent community of “Cultural Homeless”.. They are many; yet hopelessly ashamed, severely disappointed or maintain a survival low profile.. The bitter feeling of being betrayed by your own awareness and consciousness is uniquely painful.. Wishing if you would never know the essentials (5W+H).. Just to be another number in the uncounted masses except for the national compulsory service..!!
Yes, the Middle East is hopeless big time.. Take Dubai Syndrome as an example.. People act as if business as usual.. Yes, price hick alike the rest of the world, not knowing that comparison is unlikely valid.. End result: awaiting catastrophe by accumulated public unrest.. Neither authorities care, nor civic activists; due to unprecedented local expatriate ratio or immaturity arrogance..!! I believe Dubai would get back on track if an official admit is issued, stating that something had structurally gone wrong.. Yet, no one on any level would embrace the task..!!
This is the repeated core fault in the Middle East.. as we call it back in Sudan: “Ignore the Elephant and Spear its Shadow..”
Adding to this the globalization implications, as how money is widely associated with politics, forming new ruling dynasties.. Bottom line; what is happening is far behind any capacities of both commons and middle class citizens to change, affect or control..!!
Yet, there is a narrow escape for the visionary people like you.. Maybe it is not valid in any community, yet would be welcomed in many others, subject to the patience with sovereign and civic authorities.. It is the Micro Financing .. Garmeen Bank style..
Such applications, when planning and empowerment are right, is critical and solely capable to fill the gap between PPP formulas and the public.. This is how Professor Younis had made a point; which captures audience and supporters every day, even among industrialized nations.. Get the people to help each other, then they are not ashamed borrowing, default plotting, or partitioned from the system..!!
New global trend would be the Social Business combined with sight-full CSR innovations..
Even UAE has great hidden problem of the needy who had no credit potentials.. Just how authorities are ready to welcome exposing the problem..?
Think about it.. I am ready to share and give a hand..!!
Thanks for being a close friend..!
    Enjoy a lovely weekend;
    Yours; Adil

  7. THANKS, thanks a lot! If God entrusts me with such a task, I will need friends, open hearts and smart ideas.
I have some plans and visions and enthusiasm and a drive to do something there but at the moment I feel like a small child with an extremely heavy bag, that is too big to be carried by her.
I wait for the good signs, the unmistakable order where to go and what to do...
    Warm Salam

  8. Well, as part of the open-mind and observation of signs.. Why you don’t consider Europe or UK (I guess you are a British) to plan, develop and deliver something to their confused Muslim youth..?? I think they need a lot to consolidate their beliefs and souls.. Many are on or below poverty lines, fewer with employment appealing qualification, many know Islam as a word to fight for, not a religion with progressive vision on life and after.. They are the greatest potential for today’s Islam, as well as the fatal threat..!!
