  2. Quoting from y FB friend Azzam: "We had had Africanized everything; including Islam"..

It sounds as if this Aficanization is awful or a-wrong-doing; yet inevitable due to geography and history.. So, what is going wrong with Sudan is very much related to that uncontrolled process..

Africanization: 1) Eliminates the boarders among holistic concepts, 2) Replaces intangible symbols with tangible ones, and 3) Exercises a weird flipping priggism; which ignores the others if they are ahead..!!

Africanization has no gray areas; therefore, epistemia is always extreme and radical. We were not aware of this while discussing why we are different from Northern or Eastern neighbors? Even so, if someone would realize it, he tends to ignore the confusion between Arabic supremacy and African realities, and would point how they are (The Arab neighbors) narrow minded with limited knowledge..!!

One of the pitfalls we have (also across Africa); is the lack of any brilliant cultural sociologist to analysis and help the folk to understand their identity.. We always claim or feel being the best (openly or implied), while we simply are not..!

It is a big issue, which motivates my thinking.. Thanks

  5. I remember Abel Alair had said the same in mid 1970th; when he was vice president.. He challenged the members of Supreme National Council on who would accept him a groom for his daughter.. Of course; no one replied.. I agree it is cultural and moral, which been confused a lot with short and narrow-sighted interpretations of religion and history.. This is why many events in our history are deliberately hidden and ignored.. This why many people assumed that early Arabs came to this land with their wives.. This why our social and cultural fabrics are not well knitted as we claim.. This is why we have many cracks in foreign relations as the same indoor.. I have no hopes for the wishful tomorrow; but I guess on the long term, there will be corrective movements across the dialogue on identity.. Despite how the new generations are fond of Hip-Hop, they contain analytical and details-investigating merit, which accepts no beliefs as granted or sacred.. This is a global phenomenon which Sudan (North and South) is inevitably part of.. Certainly, I shall not be there to witness, but certainly it will be positive; not by our own choice, but the necessities of global geopolitics and time..

  7. Sometimes simple facts are ignored.. Even so, how we get our dark skin..?? They would say by heat and sun..!!
If a senior official believes that raping a Darfurean woman by a Northern Sudanes man; is a pride for her to carry.. I can understand how out-of-senses all the system is.. We are a "fake or premature" nation, let's face it; which needs tough times to get purified, polish and solid-stand.. If our independance came by a signed letter; such talk about blood and revolution; is just rubbish.. Should someone form a movement; calling it "AlHaqiqah" to advocate for the truth about Sudan: land, people, history and future..?

  9. I guess his statement was a shock for everyone, therefore, no one commented.. It seems the guy knows Sudanese inner mind-set better than anyone, that is how he maintained to stand despite our collective agreement on how mean and foxy he is.. He rejected Hadeeth from the Prophet PBUH, He admits organizing a 1989 coup, he cursed non-Arabs and non-Muslims; yet no one dares to stand firm against him.. This is the time when big-mouths are shut..!! Yet, he is, in my view, an envoy from Antichrist or "Dajjal" as by Shariah; he is a hypocrite..!!
It seems we had severely politicalized Islam, not only “Africanized” it..!!
    I like your term..
May Allah swt bless your time and life.. Ameen
