Political Media..

Gaston Camille Charles Maspero (June 23, 1846 – June 30, 1916)

During the last century, Egyptian personalities were fully (and only) autopsied for (Throne’s) political use.. Orchestrated by (Lobbyist) Media.. In the last 12 days, who were touched by (Patriarchic) Mubarak; followed the (Confident) Souliman, and later wept with (Gogoole’s) Ghonaim..!!

The massive 5 million sq ft ERTU complex, Maspero Street, Cairo

In Egypt, the honest men who had tried throughout history to align politics to the commons, had always and mysteriously failed.. This valid since the times of the Pharaohs.. Egypt was always geographically a hub for resources and wealth.. It was also historically a center for cultures and powers.. Always the majority peasants were poor, the fortunes were seized by dynasties and the precious land was nationalized and later redistributed, many times.. Earlier obedience was drawn by blood, early voters were bullied by cudgels, modern ballots were always forged by State Police.. Haman was the Media-Godfather, then; uncountable number of media expert and lobbyists, later Maspero was the internship hub.. (A short street named after Gaston Maspero; where the Egyptian Broadcasting Complex ERTU).. ERTU was launched in 1960th, when Nasser knew the game and controlled the Arabic cyber sphere..!

In Egypt, it is always hard to predict the next move.. as multiple factors controls the game.. Only once upon a time, when mysteriously all gauges synchronize, the street would move.. Apparently, State Establishment knows the same, and ready with unprecedented scenarios; extracted from the psychological autopsy; to confront, regain, and lead again..!!

Read Carefully..!
Gaston Maspero
As an aspect of his attempt to curtail the rampant illegal export of Egyptian antiquities by tourists, collectors and agents for the major European and American museums, Maspero arrested the Abd al-Russul brothers from the notorious treasure-hunting village of Gorna, who confessed under torture to having found the great cache of royal mummies at Deir el-Bahri in July 1881. The cache was moved to Cairo as soon as possible to keep it safe from robbers.
In 1886 he resumed work begun by Mariette to uncover the Sphinx, removing more than 65 feet (20 m) of sand and seeking tombs below it (which he did not find, but have later been found and left unopened). He also introduced admission charges for Egyptian sites to the increasing number of tourists to pay for their upkeep and maintenance.
In spite of the brutality towards the Abd al-Russul brothers, Maspero was popular with museum keepers and collectors because he was known to be a "pragmatic" director of the Service of Antiquities, one who would allow them to remove from the country what he did not want for the Bulaq Museum. Maspero did not attempt to halt all collecting, but rather sought to control what went out of the country and to gain the confidence of those who were regular collectors. When Maspero left his position in 1886 and was replaced by a series of other directors who attempted to halt the trade in antiquities, his absence was much lamented.

  1. Between the Media and Mass-media a short swim.. Media is meant for personal expression, where controversies and business sky-rocket.. Mass-media is meant for political campaigns, where beneficiaries sustain..
Between State Media and Public media a great controversy on who’s who.. Between revolutionary media and media of revolution a great conceptual divide on who’s whom..
Read it backwards, from production to beneficiary.. from commons to individuals.. from audience to funds..!

  2. Carefully watch the numbers..
Egyptian Maspero (The Arabic mass media giant) has more than 12,000 staff inside that monster building.. in addition several more elsewhere for non Gov-parties.. Conservatively; there are 20,000 Journalists and media staff work for the Egyptian Government or 0.00063% of the population..
In USA there are around 53,000 Journalists and media staff or 0.000016%..
There are 500 Sudanese Journalists, who are only 0.000014% of our people..
So, ours are within the standard ratio, only a technology and quality divide..!!
Egyptians are far exaggerated (almost 45 times from USA); to explain their current chaos..!!
