Ramadhan GDP Loses..!

It is a serious issue, which none of Islamic scholars, economists or politicians dare to address, despite how it is disturbing to Muslim communities and economy.. As a ritual, it is tight to work around it; yet the lack of any innovative or creative solutions is the true threat and blockage.. People are bron to be flixable in matters of survival, while the true value of politicians is to clear both vision and implementations for the people to find their path ahead.. I hope one day someone would come up with brilliant constructible idea..

The UAE loses an estimated $1.4 billion (Dh5.14 billion) in gross domestic product (GDP) due to reduced daily work hours during Ramadan, suggests a new study.
In the Gulf region, only Saudi Arabia loses more in terms of productivity during Ramadan at $2.4 billion (Dh8.81 billion), states the report, Productivity in Ramadan, Strategies for the Modern Muslim Work Environment.
Conducted by Saudi-based firm Productive Muslim in partnership with New York-based Muslim business media firm Dinar Standard, the study found that countries in the region which mandate a six-hour working day during Ramadan witnessed falling productivity.
Overall, the six GCC countries lost a combined $5.8 billion (Dh21.3 billion) in GDP due to reduced work hours. Estimates are based upon the last recorded annual GDP per country.
Mohammad Faris, founder and CEO of Productive Muslim, told Gulf News yesterday that the survey is believed to be the first of its kind and may help workers and businesses find a better balance between personal and professional life during Ramadan.
"I believe the most important lesson learnt is that on an individual level Muslim workers are keen to maintain their productivity throughout Ramadan, however, employers and governments need to play a bigger role in helping the individual Muslim worker maintain productivity," he said.
"For those countries who average two-hour workday reduction (GCC, Pakistan, Egypt), the total hours lost are approximately 40, which is essentially equivalent to one week of economic productivity. Percentage-wise, this averages to a 7.7 per cent loss in such a country's monthly GDP value," the study stated. "This assessment does not consider end of Ramadan Eid holidays."
The study, based upon 1,524 Muslims surveyed around the globe, said that loss of productivity was not due to a lack of performance by workers who were observing Ramadan.
The survey reported that 77 per cent of Muslim professionals said they make every attempt to maintain the same level of workload during Ramadan as they do during any other time of the year and believe work should continue in a normal fashion.

Moon Watch..

The naked-eye-watch of the born-crescent of the Moon is critical to the Islamic Calendar. It is an issue of great debate through centuries.. Till date, among sub-Saharah Muslims, they mark their rituals by the naked-eye-watch, despite any weather conditions..
Many people follow the exact wording of the Quranic verses; which precisely tell the necessity of such a naked-eye-watch.. On the contrary, a growing number of Muslims believe in the scientific approach; which would solve many practical blockages due to climatic conditions.. Between both; many arguments and abstracts..
The following website is Islamically very useful for both ordinary people and professionals to work out their rituals..!

Surprisingly Misbehave..!

"How do you expect kids to listen to their parents when Tarzan lives half naked, Cinderella comes home at midnight, Pinocchio lies all the time, Aladdin is the king of thieves, Batman drives at 200 mph, Sleeping Beauty is lazy, Snow White lives with 7 guys. We shouldn't be surprised when kids misbehave, they get it from their story books"

Thanks Isabella Armstrong
There is a need for a global code of conduction, targeting governance and compliances among media professionals, to assure that the forthcoming generations will be active, repectful and telanted ones..
On parallel, educators must get the co...urage to stand against detriorated morals and ethics, with innovative ways to enforce and empower the role of good ethics..

UAE in Afghanistan

The importance of the 250 UAE troops in Afghanistan is beyond their actual military skills and capabilities.. They simply symbolize the "Islamic" rejection of the Taliban.. The actual pitfall of the coalition is being unable to convince other Muslim States to contribute to the mission.. Despite the challenges of "justifying" a Muslim killing another; it is the confusion between political will and interest.. Many Muslim States has mysterious agenda when it comes to Afghanistan.. Once Bin -Laden was spotted, yet CIA had to abort the plan of shoot-to-kill by a Tomahawk, as he was accompanied by some GCC royals..!!

Recognize Palestine: New Path to Peace

To the leaders of all UN member states:

We urge you to endorse the legitimate bid for recognition of the state of Palestine and the reaffirmation of the rights of the Palestinian people. It is time to turn the tide on decades of failed peace talks, end the occupation and move towards peace based on two states.

Libyan Chronicles..

Despite how many Arabs were sarcastic on Libyans across time.. Ironically; Libyans had experienced revolutionary anarchy for 40 years, started by leadership formation, and finished with fights not violence; they will the 1st Arabs to make sense..!!

Despite all the odds, Libyan will seriously lead their own political reforms; on the contrary to the current Arabic lib-service; those loudly shunt with no delivery..! Yes; demographics help, as well as resources, int’l support and enthusiastic elite.. It is time for Arabs to abandon the typical press releases from Tunisia, Sana’a, Cairo and Damascus, and listen to the new interpreters of the simple commons.. Those Freedom Fighters did not rise the “Arab Spring” banner; but offered fearless martyrs.. The True national legends are always drawn by Bullets and Bloods not Banners and Bullies..!!

I'm not ANNA HAZARE..!!

I AM NOT ANNA HAZARE AND I AM SIMPLY NOT SORRY ABOUT IT !

By Sharon Elizabeth Thomas

Humble me is seriously confounded hearing "me pan Anna Hazare" everywhere. Its amusing to see so much enthusiasm among the youth and the old alike to fight corruption...YEAH that's the keyword CORRUPTION and that’s what the junta claims they are fighting against...Corruption...I can’t help wondering if the thousands on the road even know what exactly they are bargaining for...

Firstly how many of them exactly know what’s the difference between the LOKPAL bill and the JAN LOKPAL bill?

The LOKPAL bill framed by the Indian legislature is an attempt to curb corruption by bringing the past and present ministers of the union, all members of parliament, companies, trusts, directors etc under the Lokpal which will take action against complaints of corruption and impose punishment. It does not include the sitting prime minister (simply so that he can do his duty without fear or favor) but he can be investigated and punished after his tenure. Sounds good enough...what den is the JAN Lokpal bill?

The JAN LOKPAL bill has been framed by team Anna Hazare. It demands that everyone from the PM, the judiciary and even the neighborhood cop should be brought under Lokpal. Lokpal alone investigates and imposes punishment. The CBI will be under the control of the LOKPAL. LOKPAL will have the authority to sanction phone taps and intercept communication of any person. What it tries to create is superman like person who has control over the entire county..

How smart it is to transfer power into the hands of a single authority. POWER CORRUPTS, ABSOLUTELY POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY...are we trying to make way for some kind of a dictatorship??

It’s insane to demand that the entire political system work under the control of an uncontrolled authority. Its a threat to democracy...further just wondering what if this LOKPAL happens to get influenced by corruption? What den?? Who controls the Lokpal? Heard an argument somewhere that only the most honest and diligent people will be appointed to the Lokpal...I have a suggestion why not appoint these most honest people to the government instead, may be that would eliminate the need for JAN Lokpal and also help the corruption issue of the government..The threat to the democracy disappears too...

I am not claiming that the government’s bill is perfect but neither is Anna Hazare's... combining the two can give the best. But Anna's demand that either his bill or no bill is plain stupid...

Corruption is not something that just the government specializes in. the citizens are corrupt too. They try to find an easy way out by bribing, even at places where they are not required to. Cleaning should begin with oneself. If the people getting themselves arrested for Anna’s sake decide that they would they stay corruption free themselves the need for a draconian Lokpal will disappear. If you want to clean the country why not begin with your own house. Let’s free ourselves from corruption and den try to free the country.

On a completely different note making laws will not simply end corruption. JAN LOKPAL is no magic medicine... in that case the anti dowry laws should have eliminated the dowry problems, the child labor laws should have eliminated the labor problems…all people screaming blood for JAN LOKPAL should realize that that Lokpal is a mechanism to deal with corruption not a magical remedy.

Very importantly fast unto death is no solution. Its pure blackmailing. Why doesn’t the Anna camp follow constitutional methods to get the bill tabled? You can’t threaten the government into accepting your demands by fasting. Tomorrow Kashmir will fast for its independence, the telengana for its birth, the Bodos for Bodoland. The government can’t fall for blackmailing. It’s setting a bad precedent to the country. A precedent that’s going to be misused gravely.

We are an indirect democracy. A mob of 1 million cant frame rules for the country and hence every adult above the age of 18 elects MP’s to parliament. These Mp’s legislate for us. They have been employed by us, if we do not like the way they function we need to fire them and appoint more capable people. Standing on the sidelines and blackmailing is no solution. It’s just kiddish behavior. In a democracy power is divided into three camps- the legislature, executive and the judiciary. The legislature alone makes laws, nobody else. You either get proper people elected to the legislature or just simply get yourself there if you are capable. It’s not in the interest of the democracy to stand out and act hooligan.

Everybody who screams I am Anna Hazare but hasn’t voted for the elections, hasn’t got themselves even registered, earns but doesn’t pay tax has no bloody right to criticize. Do your duty first and scream yourself hoarse. It’s easy to point fingers but simply too hard to be a citizen in the real sense of the term. In a democracy active participation just doesn’t mean participating in rallies, it also includes timely fulfillment of duties.

Anna Hazare must have surely elected an MP from his constituency. The constitution requires him to get this Jan Lokpal bill of his presented in the parliament through the MP. If the bill is passed by both houses it becomes a law. He has no right to demand that the parliament should tear off its own bill and accept Anna’s. He should get the bill presented through his MP...Why doesn’t the nearly 80 year’s old wise man realize that? The government is willing to negotiate but negotiation involves an element of flexibility. Anna’s demand that things should work only is way is frustrating. The solution lies only midway, somewhere in between Anna and the government’s stand.

There are a million things more important plaguing the country and no one cares. The largest number of woman harassment cases (by the people not the government thankfully…should the government fast unto death that these should stop?) malnutrition cases, a plethora of issues which need immediate attention. Will the people scream for this too? I sincerely hope.

Some one from the north east Irom sharmila has been fasting for 10 years for Manipur and the AFSPA issue. Wonder how many of the people even paid attention to that. It’s simply irritating that most people on the road hardly know what they are fighting for or what they are fighting against. The politicians may not be educated but we definitely are. Why then are the people behaving like mindless fools. Democracy is precious gift. Corruption is a deadly disease. Corruption must go and people must demand the elimination of corruption but unfortunately Jan Lokpal is not he answer.

The answer lies in a compromise between Lokpal and Jan Lokpal in such a way that the democracy is not threatened. Let’s learn a lesson from the Hitler-Mussolini history of the world. And lastly even Lokpal will all its powers is pointless until WE THE PEOPLE decide to stop the bribing thingie…The change begins with US, let’s not forget that.

New Makkah Expansion..

Is it architectural and monetary extravaganzas or fatal added value for Muslim commons..?

Almost two decades since the billions spent on refurbishment and expansions of the holy mosque.. Which had brought lots of praise to King Fahad.. Apparently, it became a trend for Saudi monarchs to celebrate engraving their names in history with outstanding architectural monuments. Despite the wealth KSA enjoys, rates of unemployment, spinsters, illiteracy and poverty are considerably high..

Cathedrals, Hindu Temples and Buddhist shrines were built through many decades, which interpret a contradictive theology to Islam.. They use the finest architects, builders and technical innovations to display both mightiness and fortunes of the religious faith.. Since the Tulunids Dynasty in Egypt (868-905) 1300 years ago, a new trend came in marking the dawn of Urban Islam, as an inevitable companion to Political Islam.. When Ahmed Bin Tulun built his famous mosque in Cairo (the then AlQata’ie city) as a political show off, it had never hosted the mega prayers as he hoped for..!! However, he had started that trend of Muslim Monarchs spending national wealth on lavish and heavily decorated Mosques. Ironically, Islamic referrals never included any definition for a mosque more than a dedicated plot..!

Across the Muslim world, social economic and political fabrics are severely deteriorated due to the general short supply.. Nevertheless, the misuse and abuse practiced by the nomad and unprivileged Muslim pilgrims towards the modern installations; are unlikely rectifiable issues; which send the spend fortunes into black holes.. It should not be building monuments, but building morals and epistemia of a religion that had clearly honored knowledge, insightfulness and social synergy..

Finally, the architectural grid clearly “greets” the Clock Tower, rather than the Holy House itself..!!

When no governance are observed, all are justified in the name of divine of higher ethics..!!

Nigerian Connection.. An Old Bad Story..!

Every year tens of thousands of West Africans migrate to Europe in search of a better life. But for some of them that search will end in tragedy, as they fall victim to competing mafia gangs that prey on the hopes of the desperate. In southern Italy, it is Nigerian women who are among the most exploited, with many ending up trapped in the nightmare world of the sex trade.

In the first of two special reports, Juliana Ruhfus investigates the plight of African women caught up in a web of organised crime, prostitution and people trafficking. In the following account Chiara Caprio, an Italian journalist who was involved in the making of the film, describes what they found out in southern Italy.

The ghetto of Destra Volturno, an assembly of houses once used by Neapolitan tourists, is surrounded by flowers as it hosts the funeral of Mary Morad, a seven-year-old from Ghana. She was killed by a man with psychiatric problems. But in Castel Volturno, more than one-third of the 25,000 official citizens are African and, in particular, Ghanaian and Nigerian.

Do or Die..!!

करो या मरो
“It's time to do or die now, just like during our struggle for independence," he tells us wagging his finger. Either we succeed in our mission or we make the ultimate sacrifice. The government is trying to fool the people of this country - we will not let that happen.”
Anna Hazare

The global unrest is not limited to 2011, but had started earlier across various countries, and various continents. Two years ago, it had started in Ukraine, France, Argentine, South Africa and Philippines. Lately in this year, it had ignited again in Iran, Greece, Malaysia, eastern province of KSA, Tunisia, Egypt, briefly Jordan, Yemen, briefly Morocco, Bahrain, Nigeria, Chili, Spain, Syria, Israel, UK and India; yet the global media chose a “sexy” banner for this global phenomenon: Arabic Spring..!!

On one hand; “The Global Media Coalition” aimed fiercely to stigmatize the Arabic regimes and elites, which had for long practiced the “Petro-Dollar” arrogance, failed to differentiate between political “Crusade” and religious one, and materialized the “theoretical” clash of civilization with twisted religious and cultural codes. It doesn’t require a mathematician to run the math..!!

On the other hand; “The Controllers of Global Order” had to limit the unrest within the third world, rather than admiting the global nature of its cause roots and symptoms. The efforts made to cover up or paint the political boiling in Southern America, Europe and Far East, were technically magnificent. Simply, they can’t practice the global patriarchy and policing; while confronting “The Gang Culture" in their Front; oops; back yards..!!

Suppression was cleverly used in association with political “foxy” tactics, for the miscarriage of the public euphoria in Morocco, Jordan, KSA, Greece and Nigeria; yet suggest a decade long tension. Some countries are suffering spiral political deterioration and uncertainty, which likely to live for 4-6 years, as badly fuming in Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, Yemen and Syria. Across the region; a vacuum of leadership is broadly recognized to last for many many years to come..!!

Corruption, Poverty and Unfairness are common motivations for the poor commons to protest; joining hands with an angry jobless, futureless and “cultureless” youth. Details, reactions and severity had varied as per the various indexes. While the majority could not understand "head from tail" of concurrent economic interruptions and financial turmoil across the world, they only had sensed the worse still to come. Then, the wishful dream of tomorrow had blown up, with no meaning to scarify or adapt. Ironically, the agencies for anti corruptions, state policing or social welfare were the main defaulters..!!

People had walked into the streets as nothing else to do: the Dads with empty pockets by the mid of the month, the Mums with skinny or dying kids, the Girls who are subject to harassment in every corner, the boys who are religiously and intellectually abused, the bread earners who can’t confront the inflation anymore, the public officers who can’t report violation of the well-knitted wealthy ones, etc..

I do not knowledgably accept the banner of Arabic Spring.. It is totally wrong, deceiving and misleading.. Yet, my greater concern is the epistemic silence.. Carelessness or Ignorance..?
Some believe in the Aztec prophecy of End of The World in 2012.. I guess it is the end of the world as we used to know, while a birth of another with no clear identity yet.. However, it will be a world with no honor for politicians, scholars or armed ones..

Politics will be as simple as basic needs, while stop any bailing out..

Knowledge will be as simple as laws of Newton, not the luxury of science..

Arms are not ballistics, but simple missiles like stones, pats and Molotov’s..

Welcome back; The Stone Age..!

I’m a Muslim..!

“Blacks, Asians, whites — we all live in the same community,’ he said. ‘Why do we have to kill one another? Why are we doing this? Step forward if you want to lose your sons. Otherwise, calm down and go home — please.”

“I’m a Muslim. I believe in divine fate and destiny, and it was his destiny and his fate, and now he’s gone,’ he said. ‘And may Allah forgive him and bless him.”

In Islam; Moral Laws will not survive without appropriate Penal Laws.. This is where the pitfalls happened, deviating our marvelous urban and civic achievements and endeavors from the true essence and merits. Not only the recent riots of London were resultant of such critical absence, but also when the passionate expressions for protest or change would step into violent chaotic forms..

The history of Mankind was mostly driven by religious fanatics; which had lift great scares in memories and heritage as well. Unfortunately, most of the committed atrocities were justified by twisted religious codes and their associated penal articles of both sides. During the last 30 years, in order to introduce adequate management of the faith issues; academics, educators, psychologists and journalists had collectively downgraded the religious contributions from being epistemic aggregates into ancillary ones..

Notably, all religions would easily exercise the coexistence, yet bargained by their hysterical and radical followers. Overwhelmingly; cautiousness had controlled the religious contents in any debate; which titled the easy choice of media and politicians, rather than battling the incorrectness or deviations within the religious contexts. Ministers of all faiths were also short to emphasis on integration rather than confrontation. Religions were victimized by their own followers, in a spiral syndrome..

When the media community had celebrated the “Raap” as expression form of the new generations, they marked the epistemic anarchy rather than human rights. Raap culture had come with non innovative music, ill phonetics of spoken languages, odd expressions that mix decency with naughtiness, following the violent bullies and only accept mentoring from the gang leaders. Then, authority of elders, parents, teachers, police and intellectuals had systematically destructed..!

Tariq Jahan, who had expressed the common perspective of ordinary Muslim towards life and death matters; was widely celebrated by the Media. It was not the sudden discovery of an unknown side of Muslims and their “confusing” culture; but a shock by spontaneous, naive and authentic reactions in a moment of severe emotional content. No wonder that some columnists would come in a while stigmatizing Mr. Jahan of emotional, parentally and/or psychoneurotic deficiencies..!!

His simple words had concluded the Islamic faith in few minutes. I pit that none of the prominent Muslim scholars would express the same in better and influential words. The whole episode would point to the need to launch more debates not to align religious faiths, but to get to know each other..

The recent riots of London are now pointing to the failure of theories that had condemned the conventional up-bringing and mentoring codes.. Without a penal code, no morals can be established.. Without discipline there is no respect.. Without respect, social order will be a controversial political agenda.. Without social fairness, poverty will never be eliminated.. Nevertheless; Islamic teachings tell that with poverty, all evils are alive..!

Loan Games..

Egypt: World Bank To Offer $2 Billion In Loans, Grants

August 12, 2011 0208 GMT

Egypt will receive $2 billion in grants and loans from the World Bank, Almasry Alyoum reported Aug. 12. A $247 million grant will help employees of the Ministry for Planning and International Cooperation deal with international and regional organizations and financial institutions. A $330 million loan will go toward the railway line between Beni Suef and Assiut, while a $100 million loan will help modernize an irrigation system in the New Valley region. A $600 million loan will finance the North Giza power station while $219 million of loans will connect a wind energy station to the power grid. The ministry will further negotiate a $400 million loan for the North Giza station, and a $585 million loan for the South Helwan power station.
http://www.stratfor.com/sitrep/20110811-egypt-world-bank-offer-2-billion-loans-grants

ONLY the "Grant" of $247 millions will be released, as fatal requirement for financial institutions to obtain the needed compliances and regulatory on the other "Loans.."
Grants require no creditors, while Loans are to be granted the payback..
Usually; people do not understand the difference, while such press release is a political PR, in favor of one or more agency..!
Nevertheless, the Grant will come with set of conditions which will allocate most of it for international and lobbying consultants and peers..
This is a typical example of WB, IMF and EU lawful practices.. Money is too valuable to be foolishly given to the "uncreditable" underdeveloped immature..
Bottom line: a great Toy for the decision makers, a Fool for the commons and Nothing for me & you..!!

London 2011

What failed; Multiculturalism or Marketism..?
Which policies had badly gone wrong, community policing or policing the communities..?

I'm not in UK, despite being a fan of Britishism.. However, from abroad, I see Multiculturalism as a one-cycle initiative, which lacks the mechanism to independently sustain or evolve.. In such vivid world, country and metropolises, a social model has inevitably to be dynamic yet has its own governance and controls.. Same almost applies to Marketism; which unnecessarily deepens the social partitions and replaces the sense of belonging by another of dispensability..!

Reading the potential consequences; would certainly start with a massive innovative PR Campaign to restore the readiness for the global events of London 2012 Olympic games..

It is the golden opportunity for the Right Wing Politicians to emphasis on robust border controls and migration permits, in favor of less-potential cultural and ethnic clashes; while restructuring the urban distribution of both macro and micro economics.. Call it: Economic Ghettos..!

City Administrators and Technocrats will seize the chance to multiple the numbers of CCTVs across the cities, where Big Brothers will not only watch and record, but with the appropriate technology will interfere and drive the commons in preplanned and modular routes..

BBM will declare end of service; which already frustrates many security agencies worldwide..!
Social media will probably go prepaid..!!

Israeli Spring..

While the “Change Spring” is reaching Israel.. a unique chance grows for true and solid public synchronization to bring a lasting peace.. Clearly, when they raised the banner: "Walk Like Egyptian"; they did not promote the famous song, but showed no irritation to exchange ideas.. and hands.. They express how the move to change is deep rooted among Israeli youth..!!

Everywhere people are simply “People”; sharing same wishes, pains, fears and psychology.. Politicians survive by the hidden hatred concepts they “intentionally” develop and sustain.. These policies are inevitably based on arrogant interpretation of sort of intellectual distinction; otherwise, there is no need for political parties.. Such hatred is not only between Arabs and Israelis, but within both communities themselves.. The same also happening worldwide.. This is the core of politics..!

It is the coordinates and thresholds of your political identity, when they would turn from logic, rational and peaceful; into hysterical, mythical and violent.. Most of the political hot spots worldwide are described with the same.. Across the Indian subcontinent, along the Caucus mountains, throughout Balkans, around Ethiopian highlands, and certainly the famous Levant.. All extremists share the same stand.. All psychopathic and criminals as well..!!

Due to complex sociopolitical circumstances and facts; I believe the common Israeli is ready to negotiate peace, while the Arabic one is far crippled in myths, taboos and stigmas.. It is a matter of urbanism rather than religious or political..! Many Arabs would disagree with me: measuring the same by their responses.. Despite how distinct and virtual this media is..!

I have a dream of new generations which will cross the barriers of suspicion and confusion.. I know how slim and distant the chance is, same as no one had predicted the Arabic Spring.. Everything is possible and probable.. Let’s build a mechanism to free the minds and hearts.. Then we would enjoy the wonders of our tiny globe.. I know it is coming, not only in the Middle East, but worldwide..!

Again: Egypt CPM..!

At that time (March 2011), many people did not believe.. others did not understand.. and few did not object...!!
The Egyptian chaos stills on, and for another 354 days, as the CPM requires recovery due to both confusion and stand-still..!!!

Some had predicted 10 years for order to rule.. Others enthusiastically and optimistically suggested 2 years.. I claim it will be 6 years; a round and a half of Peoples' Assemply..!

Project Management (PM) is the art of getting things properly done.. It assesses, plans, runs, and validates deliverables of the activities.. CPM is the critical path method, which calculates the longest cycle a project would need.. Part of PM planning is developing the execution scenarios; to pick the most suitable.. Simply it is done by answering: what, when, by who, at what cost and on which measures.. It is sophisticated, yet applicable in every aspect of life.. 21st century is the PM century.. They already started (in the Western hemisphere of course) to put is in all syllabuses, like math and linguistics..!! On the contrary; many of our folks “purchase” the PM degrees and certifications..!
