مارينا إبراموڤيتش فنانة صربية ،

قامت بعرض مسرحى تجريبى

بإسم الإيقاع صفر ( Rhythm 0 ) عام 1974.

جلست إبراموڤيتش فى هدوء وثبات أمام جمهور حى

خلف منضدة لمدة 6 ساعات ،

من الساعة 8 مساءا حتى 2 صباحٱ.

وكان قد طلبت ، بل أصرت ، أن لا تتم مقاطعة العرض

أو إيقافه بأى شكل من الأشكال ومهما حدث على المسرح.

على المنضدة بجوارها كان هناك 72 شئ.

أشياء متنوعة بعضها لطيف ،

مثل وردة ، صابونة ، ريشة ، مشط ومنديل وغيرها ..

وكانت هناك أيضٱ أشياء جارحة ومخيفة

مثل مقص سكين سوط مسدس سلاسل حديدية

وسكاكين ومقص وعدة أدوات أخرى..

غرابة العرض كانت تكمن فى أن للمتفرجين المندهشين الحق بالتصرف مع الممثلة الجالسة أمامهم وفق ما يرونه مناسبٱ، بمعنى أنهم يستطيعون لمسها وفعل أى شئ بها

من دون أن تحرك هى ساكنٱ..

كان الغرض الرئيسى الذي أرادت إبراموڤيتش تحقيقه

مع هذا النوع من الأداء التجريبى هو الإجابة على السؤال: ماذا سيفعل الجمهور

فى موقف يتم فيه منحهم الحرية الكاملة لفعل ما يريدون؟

بدأ العرض ، مرت دقائق دون حراك من ( مارينا ) ،

وفي المقابل الجمهور ما زال مترددٱ

قبل أن يتجرأ البعض فى الحركة.

في البداية مضى الأمر بشكل جيد ،

بعضهم قدم لها وردة أو صافحها فقط أو قبلها على وجنتها .. كان السلوك لطيفٱ ومؤدبٱ عمومٱ خلال الساعتين الأوليتين .. ثم بدأ الجنون ..

قام أحدهم فجأة بصفعها ..

وهذه الصفعة كانت كأنها الشرارة

التى حررت الشر الكامن فى نفوس الحضور ،

فقام شخص أخر وضربها ،

وآخر بدأ يتلمسها ،

ثم تحول الأمر إلى تحرش جنسى،

ولاحقٱ خرج الأمر عن السيطرة إذ حاول أحدهم إغتصابها ، وهناك من إستعملوا المقص وشفرات الحلاقة

لتقطيع كل ثيابها

ثم إلتقطوا صورٱ لها والصقوها على رأسها.

ثم بدأت نفس الشفرات الحادة تستكشف وتجرح بشرتها. وقام أحدهم بحز عنقها ، من اجل شخص ما ليمص دمها

وأخرون أحدثوا جروحٱ مختلفة على جسدها.

رغم كل هذا ظلت إبراموڤيتش ملتزمة جدٱ بعرضها

لدرجة أنها لم تقاوم الإغتصاب أو القتل ..

وحتى عندما وضع أحدهم مسدسٱ فى يدها

وصوبه نحو رقبتها ووضع إصبعها على الزناد

لم تقاوم ولا تحركت من مكانها! ..

لكنها لم تستطع مقاومة دموعها فبكت ..

وبمجرد أن إنتهى العرض

بدأت بالتحرك هم المتجمهرون بالفرار .

هذة التجربة أثبتت لمارينا أن البشر الذين نتعامل معهم يومياً مهما إختلف عرقهم وسنهم وخلفياتهم

قادرون على إرتكاب أفعال شنيعة،

ولكن إن أتيحت لهم الفرصة فقط .

هذا ما يجبرنا على أن نقر دوماَ أن السلطه بحاجه إلى القوة وأن الحريه لا يمكن أن تمنح بصوره مطلقة

دون رادع أو قانون أو نظام .

هذا العرض الغريب

كشف عن الجانب الخفى من النفس البشرية

عندما تكون الحدود غير موجودة على المستوى الإجتماعي.

عندما يسمح للبشر بفعل ما يريدون

دون وجود قانون أو رادع فإن الأمور تسوء

بغض النظر عن مقدار إلتزام المجتمع أو تعليمه أو ثقافته .. وما حدث يقودنا إلى التفكير في معانى وأمور عميقة

من قبيل الحرية والمسؤولية والسلطة والإحترام.

إلى أى مدى يمكن أن نسمح لأنفسنا بأن ننقاد إلى رغباتنا؟

ماذا يمكننا أن نفعل عندما نشعر بالحرية المطلقة

بدون أي قيود او قانون يردع؟

Marina Abramovic, Serbian artist,

She performed an experimental theatrical performance

In the name of Rhythm 0 in 1974.

Abramovic sat calmly and steadily in front of a live audience

behind a desk for 6 hours,

From 8 pm until 2 am.

She had asked, even insisted, that the show not be boycotted

Or stop it in any way, regardless of what happens on stage.

On the table next to her were 72 things.

Various things, some nice,

Such as a rose, soap, feather, comb, handkerchief, etc.

There were also hurtful and scary things

Like scissors, knife, whip, pistol, iron chains

Knives, scissors, and several other tools.

The strangeness of the show was that the astonished spectators had the right to act with the actress sitting in front of them as they saw fit, meaning that they could touch her and do anything with her.

Without moving, she is still..

It was the main goal that Abramovich wanted to achieve

With this kind of experimental performance the question is answered: what will the audience do?

In a situation where they are given complete freedom to do whatever they want?

The show started. Minutes passed without Marina moving.

On the other hand, the public is still hesitant

Before some dare to move.

At first it went well,

Some of them gave her a rose, or just shook her hand, or kissed her on the cheek. The behavior was generally nice and polite during the first two hours. Then the madness began.

Suddenly someone slapped her.

This slap was like a spark

Which liberated the evil lurking in the souls of those present.

Then another person got up and hit her.

And another one started touching her.

Then it turned into sexual harassment.

Later, the matter got out of control as someone tried to rape her, and some people used scissors and razors.

To cut off all her clothes

Then they took pictures of her and pasted them on her head.

Then the same sharp blades began to explore and cut her skin. Someone slit her neck, for someone to suck her blood

Others caused various wounds on her body.

Despite all this, Abramovic remained very committed to her show

So much so that she could not resist rape or murder.

Even when someone put a gun in her hand

He aimed it at her neck and put her finger on the trigger

She did not resist or move from her place! ..

But she couldn't resist her tears, so she cried.

Once the show was over

I started to move as the crowds fled.

This experience proved to Marina that the people we deal with daily, regardless of their race, age, and background

are capable of committing heinous acts,

But only if they were given the opportunity.

This is what forces us to always acknowledge that authority requires force and that freedom cannot be granted absolutely.

Without deterrence, law or order.

This strange show

Revealing the hidden side of the human soul

When boundaries do not exist at the social level.

When people are allowed to do what they want

Without law or deterrent, things get worse

Regardless of the extent of society’s commitment, education, or culture, what happened leads us to think about deeper meanings and matters.

Such as freedom, responsibility, authority and respect.

To what extent can we allow ourselves to be led by our desires?

What can we do when we feel absolutely free

Without any restrictions or deterrent law?
