• الاحتلال: حُوصِرَت خرمشهر، وهي مدينة ساحلية حيوية في جنوب غرب إيران، واحتلتها القوات العراقية في بداية الحرب العراقية الإيرانية. صمدت المدينة 575 يومًا تحت الاحتلال، لتصبح رمزًا للمقاومة.

• التحرير: في 24 مايو 1982 (الثالث من خرداد)، استعادت القوات الإيرانية المدينة بنجاح في عملية "بيت المقدس".

• التأليف الموسيقي: ألّف ماجد انتظامي هذه المقطوعة تكريمًا لهذا النصر التاريخي، مُجسِّدًا الخسائر البشرية والنفسية والجسدية الهائلة التي خلّفتها الحرب.

The Khorramshahr Symphony (also known as The Epic of Khorramshahr) is a renowned Iranian orchestral work composed by Majid Entezami to commemorate the liberation of the city of Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq War. It is a powerful musical narrative of resistance, sacrifice, and victory.

• The Occupation: Khorramshahr, a vital port city in southwestern Iran, was besieged and occupied by Iraqi forces early in the Iran-Iraq War. The city endured 575 days of occupation, becoming a symbol of resistance.
• The Liberation: On May 24, 1982 (3rd of Khordad), Iranian forces successfully recaptured the city in the "Beit ol-Moqaddas" operation.
• The Composition: Majid Entezami composed the piece to honor this monumental victory, reflecting the immense emotional, human, and physical toll of the war.
