A Gentleman is...

This is principally collected, inspired and posted by my dearest friend Amela Omerika.. The Bosnian German Princess; whose qualities are rare alike those Bosnian Red Flowers..

It is a principle of his that no man who was not a true gentleman at heart, ever was, since the world began, a true gentleman in manner. He says, no varnish can hide the grain of the wood; and that the more varnish you put on, the more the grain will express itself.. (Charles Dickens Great Expectations)

"I take it that 'gentleman' is a term that only describes a person in his relation to others; but when we speak of him as 'a man,' we consider him not merely with regard to his fellow-men, but in relation to himself,--to life--to time--to eternity.".. (Elizabeth Gaskell)
"North and South "He paid some attention to the management of his collieries in the Midland counties, excusing himself for this taint of industry on the ground that the one advantage of having coal was that it enabled a gentleman to afford the decency of burning wood on his own hearth.. (Oscar Wilde The Picture of Dorian Gray)

"Politics is a dirty business for a gentleman.. " (Booth Tarkington The Magnificent Ambersons)

Education begins the gentleman, but reading, good company and reflection must finish him.. (Amela Omerika)

“A gentleman is one who never hurts anyone's feelings unintentionally.” (Oscar Wilde)

Never hurt intentionally....plus the care with unintent.. (Jamela Khan)

I believe; even unintentionally.. as a Gentleman would carefully place his steps, and his words.. though it would cost him a lot..!! (Adil)

A gentleman is man who can disagree without being disagreeable.. (Amela Omerika)

Athletic, a gentleman. I'm a Southern girl. I like when they open the door and pull out a chair. I'm really into a man's man.. (on her dream man.. Brooke Burns)

Ironically, now-a-days; many would trade boring manners for charming lies..!! (Adil)

A lady is smarter than a gentleman, maybe, she can sew a fine seam, she can have a baby, she can use her intuition instead of her brain, but she can't fold a paper in a crowded train.. (Amela Omerika)

A lady is smarter than a gentleman, maybe, she can sew a fine seam, she can have a baby, she can use her intuition instead of her brain, but she can't fold a paper in a crowded train... (Phyllis McGinley)
Once a gentleman, and always a gentleman.. (Amela Omerika)

". . . And when it come to character, warn't it Compeyson as had been to the school, and warn't it his schoolfellows as was in this position and in that, and warn't it him as had been know'd by witnesses in such clubs and societies, and nowt to his disadvantage? And warn't it me as had been tried afore, and as had been know'd up hill and down dale.. in Bridewells and Lock-Ups? And when it come to speech-making, warn't it Compeyson as could speak to 'em wi' his face dropping every now and then into his white pocket-handkercher - ah! and wi' verses in his speech, too - and warn't it me as could only say, 'Gentlemen, this man at my side is a most precious rascal'? And when the verdict come, warn't it Compeyson as was recommended to mercy on account of good character and bad company, and giving up all the information he could agen me, and warn't it me as got never a word but Guilty? . . . " (Charles Dickens)

“A true gentleman is one who is never unintentionally rude”.. (Oscar Wilde)

I was amazed by the Potomac river in DC, where a physical demise between Gentlemen world, and the Hip-Hop another..!! If circumstances would be different, should be a Virginian..!! (Adil)

Test 4 a gentleman...his respect for those who can be of service to him.. (Amela Omerika)
