تتذكرُ الأميره ديانا يومَ زواجها قائله :

عندما دخلتُ الكنيسه لنرددَ نذورَ الزواج لم استطعْ أن أرفعَ عيني عنه، كان هو كل شيءٍ بالنسبه لي، أعتقدتُ بأنني أكثرُ الفتيات حظاً في العالم وأنهُ سيحبني ونكونَ عائله رائعه

و لشدةِ سعادتي أرتبكتُ و أخطأتُ لفظَ أسم زوجي فقلتُ: أقبلكَ يا "فيليب تشارلز أرثر جورج" زوجاً لي، أذكرُ أننا في ليلةِ الزفاف ضحكنا كثيراً ،وقالَ لي تشارلز مازحاً: الآن لا أستطيعُ أن ألمسكِ كونكِ تزوجتِ أبي
