Will partner only with the Government ... This was my confirm decision from the inception of the Food-ATM project ... Because no one else could find any business sense in our project and the reasons were very simple :
1. A project wherein the sales prices of the meals remain really low (Aed 1,2,3) and stagnant for years (atleast 1 decade) but all the other operational costs and raw materials costs keep inflating
2. With every meal provide free water so that the recipients dont need to spend additionally
3. Also, add a snack Gift with every meal just to support the recipients when they feel hungry before their next meal
4. Give Free Tea to everyone who visits Food-ATM even if they dont buy anything at all from us
After reading the above, anyone would easily state that no such project can exist but the fact is that we exist :) and it has been almost 7 years now, in all Emirates of UAE
From 1 Food-ATM facility to now 9 and the 10th facility in progress ... Alhumdulillah
The Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an - the most gracious and kind hearted organization spotted us when we had completed 5 years of operations and launched us in the magnificient Abu Dhabi
Ma'an appreciated our efforts and the project objective of providing food security to the lesser-privileged lower-income communities
Awarded us the Social Enterprise Certificate
With their Volunteering program CVAP at our Abu Dhabi facility, the daily participating volunteers became our strength. The volunteers started handling the meal bags packaging and giving away, while Food-ATM could concentrate on the food quality and bulk meals preparations on each day.
Ma'an volunteers became so involved that they often bring along their family members to participate in the noble act of giving.
Ma'an associated us with several large national entities and it has been our blessing to work with @ne'ma Department of Community Development Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority ADAFSA , Accenture, Serco, Central Bank of The UAE, Emirates Foundation , ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi
