Torero Álvaro Múnera

This incredible photo marks the end of Matador Torero Álvaro Múnera’s career. He collapsed in remorse mid-fight when he realized he was having to prompt this otherwise gentle beast to fight. He went on to become an avid opponent of bullfights. Even grievously wounded by picadors, he did not attack this man.

Torrero Munera is quoted as saying of this moment: “And suddenly, I looked at the bull. He had this innocence that all animals have in their eyes, and he looked at me with this pleading. It was like a cry for justice, deep down inside of me. I describe it as being like a prayer - because if one confesses, it is hoped, that one is forgiven. I felt like the worst shit on earth.”

ظاهرة التدين البديل أم التدين المشوش

لعلي أختلف بشدة مع الروائي الذي تحول الى فيلسوف يشرح ويشرح تعقيدات الحياة والمواطن في مصر ومختلف البلاد العربية  والاسلامية ، قد يكون الأسواني روائي بارع ، ولكنه ترديد للظاهرة العربية التي تعني ان التفوق في أحد مناحي الحياة يؤهل للتفوق في غيرها

ومما لا شك فيه ان المسلم في عالم اليوم هو ضحية تعاليم وتفاسير وتشريعات مغلوطة في غالبها ، حيث صار الفصل بين العقلانية والروحية هو المحرك الأساسي ، يمكن القول بأنه ترديد لفصل الدولة عن الكنيسة في عصر الأنوار الأوروبي

 ليس الأمر تدَين بديل ، ولكن تدَين مشوش ، لم تصنعه الدولة ، ولكن ابدع في بناؤه  الأعلاميين والكتاب ومن يلقبون بالمثقفين

هؤلاء كانوا أول المتأثرين بالتشويه الديني ، ومن ثم أطلقوه في ابدعاتهم ، مقرونة بالتكنولوجيا والاطلاع على ابداعات الآخرين ، برغم الفاصل الدقيق بين الظاهرة الانسانية والخصوصية الثقافية والدينية

هل نزل الإسلام فقط من أجل تغطية شعر المرأة ؟

أثناء حكم مبارك ، هاجم الوزير فاروق حسني الحجاب ، فوقف أعضاء في مجلس الشعب يدافعون بضراوة عن الحجاب والمحجبات ، وبلغ الحماس بأحدهم أن صاح في وجه فاروق حسني: 'أنت فتنة على الإسلام' ثم سقط مغشيا عليه من فرط الإنفعال

ووجدتنى أتساءل: إذا كان ممثلو الأحزاب يحرصون على الإسلام إلى هذا الحد ، ألم يفكروا قط فى أن تزوير الإنتخابات واعتقال الأبرياء وتعذيبهم وهتك أعراضهم ونهب أموال المصريين وإفقارهم وغيرها من الجرائم التي ترتكبها الأنظمة التي يمثلونها لا يمكن ان تتفق مع مبادىء الإسلام ؟

من المعروف أن كثيرا من ضباط أمن الدولة ملتزمون دينيا ، يؤدون الصلاة فى أوقاتها ويصومون ويحجون إلى بيت الله ، لكن ذلك لا يمنعهم أبدا من ممارسة عملهم اليومي فى التعذيب والضرب وإستعمال الكهرباء فى صعق المعتقلين

فى نفس السياق تربطنى علاقة مصاهرة بمسؤول بارز فى الحكومة إشتهر بتزوير الإنتخابات والإعتداء على إستقلال القضاء وهو معروف في محيط الأسرة بتدينه العميق ، حتى إنه يعطي أقاربه دروسا في فقه الدين

A prehistoric 13-year-old girl who lived 50,000 years ago was the love child of two separate species of ancient human ancestor, according to a new DNA analysis of her remains.

A study of a tiny bone fragment found in a cave in Russia shows the teenager had a Neanderthal mother and a Denisovan father, giving fresh insight into how the now-extinct species interacted.

The find suggests that our ape-like cousins mated far more frequently than researchers thought, according to archaeologists.

Neanderthals and Denisovans share a common ancestor with humans, and roamed Eurasia as far back as 400,000 years ago having migrated from Africa.

وفيها هبت رياح عاصفة شديدة بمكة في يوم الثلاثاء من عشر ربيع الآخر ، فألقت ستارة الكعبة المشرفة، وكانت قد عتقت ، فإنها من سنة أربعين لم تجدد لعدم الحج في تلك السنين من ناحية الخليفة ، فما سكنت الريح إلا والكعبة عريانة قد زال عنها شعار السواد
وكان هذا فألا على زوال دولة بني العباس ، ومنذرا بما سيقع بعد هذا من التتار لعنهم الله
والحقيقة ؛ أن سيدنا ابراهيم ابن سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم توفي في يوم كسفت فيه الشمس فقال الناس إن الشمس كسفت لموت ابراهيم فرد النبي على هذا فقال ان الشمس لا تكسف لموت احد ، وعليه ؛ فما يحدث من ظواهر طبيعية واحداث لا تلازم بينه وبين شيء يحدث لنا كما انه ليس يدل على غضب الله كما قال البعض في خيام منى التي طارت فقالوا هذا غضب من الله على العباد
بل كان ينبغي ان كان هناك تفسير أن يكون بحسن الظن فى الله فنقول وكأن الله يقول لملائكته انظروا الى عبادي ارسلت عليهم ريحا وهم مكانهم لا يبرحون فقد اتوني يريدون رحمتي
وأن كسآء الكعبة عندما انحسر عن جدرها وحجارتها كان على عين المحب ان تقول

أماطت عن محاسنها الخمارا===وغادرت العقول بها حيارا
وبثت في صميم القلب شوقا ::: توقد منه كل الجسم نارا

في تحريم القهوة والطماطم والبنطلون

لم تعد المسألة التحليل والتحريم ، بل المنهجية التي يتناول بها المسلمون قضايا العقل والمنطق

ما يتثير الشجن ، أن الاخلاص في العبادة قد أورد المؤمنون المهالك

ليس الأمر لن يشاقق الدين أحداً إلا غلبه ، ولكنه لو كان الأمر كله عقل لكن المسح على باطن القدم أولى من ظاهرها

لقد تشرذم العقل المؤمن بين المسلمين ، وبات يتيماً بلا كفيل

لم يعبث شيء بالإنسان العربي مثلما عبثت به الفتاوى. أليست الفتوى بحد ذاتها نوعا من التناقض؟ إذ كيف يمكن لإنسان أنال يصدر فتوى يحدد فيها "رأي الله" في قضية ما. هل الإفتاء نوع من "التأله" وادعاء العصمة ولهذا كان كبار الفقهاء يتهربون من الفتوى كالهروب من النار..؟

 هي دوامة كاسحة لن نخرج من هذه الدوامة إلا اذا تحولت الفتوى الى مجرد رأي

أثار تصدير اليمنيين للقهوة إلى أرجاء العالم الإسلامي من المعارك ما لم يكن في الحسبان. خاض العالم الإسلامي معركة ضد القهوة استمرت 400 سنة. لم يعرف العرب القهوة قبل القرن السادس عشر الميلادي. ويعود اكتشافها العربي إلى مشايخ الصوفية اليمنيين. ويرجح البعض أن الصوفي العدني أبو بكر بن عبد الله العيدروس كان من أوائل مستخدميها. انقسم علماء اليمن بين محلل ومحرم لشرب القهوة ورأى من حرموها 

أنها مسكرة ومنافية للمروءة

انتقلت القهوة من اليمن إلى مكة عبر التجار والحجاج اليمنيين. وقد تحدثت كتب التاريخ عن "واقعة مكة" عام 1511م ، عندما ضبط ناظر الحسبة مجموعة تشرب القهوة في جوار الحرم ، مما أثار جدلا فقهيا أدى إلى تحريمها واعتبارها خمرة مسكرة، فصدر الأمر بجلد بائعها وشاربها وطابخها وشاريها..! بل اخترع الفقهاء أحاديث ونسبوها للرسول على شاكلة: " قال رسول الله (ص) من شرب القهوة يحشر يوم القيامة ووجهه

I used to be one of those who hated living in Singapore, wished I wasn’t born a Singaporean, and couldn’t wait to ‘gtfo of Singapore’.

So that I did.

My chance came when I got the job to work for Emirates as a cabin crew; I moved to Dubai, where I had to be based. And after living in Dubai and seeing Singapore through the eyes of my ex-colleagues, who came from all around the world, I realised how much I’d taken her for granted.

Sure, Singapore has her flaws: the absurdly high costs of living, and our ridiculous obsession with the paper chase are just some of it.

But having deeper conversations with my ex-colleagues made me see how ignorant my perspective was; all I could see were Singapore’s flaws while I was blind to the flaws of other countries I thought so highly of.

So from one Singaporean to another, here are the things I hope we never take for granted.

Time..

Sometimes, and for many mysterious reasons, we can't control the time

However, Mankind had been created with hardship

At the end, everything is distended, someway or another

Time passes quickly, adding more numbers everyday

Therefore, we all try to catch up the train

For a person like me, I try to win time over both loneliness and ageing

I do feel the meaning of time every in single day

Therefore, I try to figure out my commitments rather than my expectations

I do not mind to initiate every day, till consensus is established 

Once the likelihood is cleared, we can move forward

I believe happiness and comfort worth sacrifices

Concurring the unknown is always full of hesitations
Yet, we shall not reveal the risks without some adventurous attitude

However, cyber world eliminates 50% of the challenges
We are virtual Personalities out there; just Contacts
Easy to erase history and block contacts

But, the true challenge is avoid missing an opportunity of a  genuine contact

As a global trend, everything turns fake:
News, Persons, Politics, Science, etc..

I do respect Time, yet it scares me...!

Ancient Police of Egypt

Apparently, the role of Dark People (Haganah) in Egypt was older than anticipated

Like most ancient societies, the Egyptians during the Old Kingdom phase relied on local warriors and privately employed guards (who were paid by rich landowners and nobles) to guard their strongholds, religious buildings, and more importantly storehouses. However by the end of this epoch, especially by the time of the 5th Dynasty, Egyptian royalty and nobles began to employ more dedicated people for the important guarding posts. These guards were mostly recruited from military factions, ex-military servicemen, and even foreign mercenaries. One of the prime examples would pertain to the elite Medjay, who were basically Nubian desert scouts, and these men were tasked with protecting the high-value public places like markets and temples. They were even accompanied by trained monkeys and dogs to catch criminals – as depicted inside a 5th Dynasty tomb (pictured above).

Thus, the world’s first known police force came into being in ancient Egypt in the field of personal security. And by the time of the Middle Kingdom (circa 2050 – 1800 BC), the overlapping system of employing soldiers (or ex-soldiers) as guards were relegated in favor of raising a full-time professional police force. In addition to guarding strategic and high-value sites, these ancient Medjay ‘cops’ were also tasked with keeping order in their respective zones and protecting trade caravans. And just like our modern times, the burgeoning police force was fueled by a state-administered body that selected the Chief of the Medjay. The Chief of the Medjay, in turn, chose his sub-chiefs, and they went on to appoint their deputies and constables in specific precincts inside the city.

Women and children were special targets for enslavement throughout the medieval period, that is, during Muslim invasions and Muslim rule. Captive children of both sexes grew up as Muslims and served the sultans, nobles and men of means in various captives. Enslavement of young women was also due to many reasons; their being sex objects was the primary consideration and hence concentration on their captivity.

Psychology regarding Sex

Islam originated in the Arabian peninsula which is by and large stony and sandy. There is no luxuriant herbage, there are no lofty trees or winding rivers. Muhammad used to say that “three things gladden the eye of the gazer: green fields, running water, and fair faces.” [1] Since green fields and running water were denied to the medieval Arab, he concentrated on deriving comfort and society mainly in fair faces. This phenomenon became prominent in the course of Islamic history throughout the world.
