Surprisingly Misbehave..!

"How do you expect kids to listen to their parents when Tarzan lives half naked, Cinderella comes home at midnight, Pinocchio lies all the time, Aladdin is the king of thieves, Batman drives at 200 mph, Sleeping Beauty is lazy, Snow White lives with 7 guys. We shouldn't be surprised when kids misbehave, they get it from their story books"

Thanks Isabella Armstrong
There is a need for a global code of conduction, targeting governance and compliances among media professionals, to assure that the forthcoming generations will be active, repectful and telanted ones..
On parallel, educators must get the co...urage to stand against detriorated morals and ethics, with innovative ways to enforce and empower the role of good ethics..
We have to admit the fact that People would hysterically stick to their religious codes; not because it is fair and just; but because of the penal system (physical or virtual) associated with..!!
This is the naked humane culture..!!

  1. Salaam Allah!

The passage quoted above is only a joke, isn't that? Please, please...Noone takes such a nonsense seriously...or does anyone? The person who writes about tales in this way knows very little about the deepness, the needs and the psychology of children. Frightening shallowness and folly. This opinion (hopefully a joke)touches only the surface, the externals and does not count with reality, the mechanisms and the principles deep down in human psyche. Tv watching destroys the soul - it is a proven fact. Film adaptations of stories and tales are silly things.
But tales, fairy tales and stories are vital for kids!!! They need it every day, told by mum or dad (or grandma...).
The right story at the right time is one of the most ancient and effective healer.
"...Sleeping Beauty is lazy..." Such cynicism and shallow mockery are dangerous in every part of life.
    with love h.

  2. Dear Hana: with my full respect to your specialty and enthusiasm for children up-bringing; I do not spread nonsense..!!
You should skip the "cynical" quotations to my comment in Blue..
Your disagreement does not mean you are correct or my view is wrong..
Since the recent London Riots, currently agreed principles of up-bringing are seriously questioned.. Many glimpse on the potential advantages of “conventional” principles are “examined” against the "democratic" approaches you may represent..
Despite the scientific and empirical efforts developed since WWII, there are a growing agreement that the model is short from prohibition framework, which had open the doors widely for misbehave and misconduct.. This is how Elders, Parents, Teachers and law enforcement officers are being deliberately ignored, impolitely challenged, and functionally trenched.. We all realize the symptoms with no solution provided, as educators and psychologists are advocating for patience and self-realization..
True, I belong to an older generation, who had been raised on different principles and views.. As the older generations are naturally expiring, hysterical and irrational accidents are wildly growing..!
However, this is a multidimensional debate, which I encourage you to follow on both British and French media..

  3. I did not mean to hurt you (obviously you took that personally). But everyone who knows a bit about children, about their true nature and about the effect of tales would say that the following words: "Sleeping Beauty is lazy, Snow White lives with 7 guys" are cynical, nonsense and are in lack of true knowledge. It is a good joke for teenagers, among each other, but taking it out of the context, and using that as a sane and responsible adult opinion is not correct. I am not so much interested in media debates, what I like and trust is everyday practice. Day by day, among children. And sensitive attention and personal care for them. I was a babysitter in London some years ago. I saw how those kids were raised. Believe me, they haven't been told so many children stories by their parents. It is not the reason. I believe in the good effect of good tales, told by mums and dads. And I say that as a practicing professional ( not as someone who is enthusiastic over children). Salaam Allah

  4. You can't find more conventional and ancient and archaic way of upbringing and educational method of a properly chosen story and personal contact between child and parents. I don't understand why it is a "democratic" approach.

  5. Dear Hana; certainly I had token it personally..!!
Anyways, I do understand your point of view; which is purely technical, while mine is purely political.. This is how you could not read my view in the first place.
After many millenniums, Mankind came to realize that epistemia is conclusive and integral.. We cannot build civilization on a single knowledge zone without the others; nor can we value any zone in an ivory setting apart from interaction, intervene and interest with the others..
Theories and applications are always subject to frameworks; which define and govern bilateral or multilateral landscape with other knowledge zones. This is where the value of any independent zone is defined, developed and enhanced.
Certainly those children you had observed years ago in London; are the teenagers of today’s debate.. Their parents (who had been raised on those “innocent” tales; on parallel to physical penal code) had mysteriously or confusingly abandoned delivering the same to their kids.. The times of 70th, 80th and 90the were the worst in our political upbringing, despite the wonderful breakthrough achieved in every scientific aspect.. We had valued logic and minds much more than spontaneity and hearts.. Apparently, a great divide had occurred between minds and hearts of Mankind..!
It was the era of Human Rights themes; where LGBT acknowledgement, capital punishment suspension, corporal punishment denouncement and discretionary self or personal disciplinary.. Not only today’s kids and teens are products of the same, but their parents, teachers and community workers as well.. The global political establishment had encouraged those new trends; which were great tools for their world games. This had concluded in the wide destruction of radicals and lift wing regimes and mindset.. The further the capital and market success achieved, the more funds were allocated for researches on aggregates of discretionary and individual politics..
Our epistemic structure as Mankind is never built on incentives alone, but in great association with prohibitions and rewards. As I had put it: religions are established not because God is loveable, but also because he is mighty and just.. He would nicely reward us for the good deeds, and equally punish us for the wrong doings.. If we obediently believe in God despite the punishment he lawfully would use, why we denounce the same for Parents, Teachers and Elders to use..?
Democracy means the rights to reject what is not appealing to you.. Same is applied in education programs.. Same is applied in Parent-Children manifest.. Yet, no one question; why we worship in a particular manner as told to; while who changes would be penalized for deviation..!!

  6. Adil, I believe in simple words and straightforwardness. I had not a word about punishments or all the other things that you were writing about. That topic is for those who know children TRULY, who are with them, love them, etc. Of course e...verybody has an opinion about it. You can have, too. I also have an opinion about a building for example, but I would never dare to criticize its construction or whatever. Opinions without true knowledge and experience are subjective. What I don't like is the mockering of children's stories and tales. One needs deep insight to understand their effect and mechanism. They are extremely important for kids' mental health - in this strange world they are even more essential. But to understand that, one needs to be committed to children whole-heartedly. It deserves research and attention. Salaam Allah
