A $330 million loan will go toward the railway line between Beni Suef and Assiut, while a $100 million loan will help modernize an irrigation system in the New Valley region. A $600 million loan will finance the North Giza power station while $219 million of loans will connect a wind energy station to the power grid. ONLY the "Grant" of $247 millions will be released, as fatal requirement for financial institutions to obtain the needed compliances and regulatory on the other "Loans.."
Grants require no creditors, while Loans are to be granted the payback..
Usually; people do not understand the difference, while such press release is a political PR, in favor of one or more agency..!
Nevertheless, the Grant will come with set of conditions which will allocate most of it for international and lobbying consultants and peers..
This is a typical example of WB, IMF and EU lawful practices.. Money is too valuable to be foolishly given to the "uncreditable" underdeveloped immature..
Bottom line: a great Toy for the decision makers, a Fool for the commons and Nothing for me & you..!!
