What India owes to Nehru

As Modi undermines Nehru, India is becoming Pakistan’s mirror image

The Populism is still young, with lots of potentials to disrupt the world.. As how much easier to ignite national, religious and folkloric idols, the nations are further irritated and anxious to live the murderous struggle for self pleasure.. Such psychopathic climax will eventually changes all games, players and rules as well.. Hard to predict a world order past 2050.. hard to wish to live it..
Adil

PANDIT Jawaharlal Nehru would never have won a popularity contest in Pakistan quite simply because he did his best to oppose our country’s creation. But nowhere is he reviled more than in India’s current ruling circles and among those whose loyalty they command.
The accusations against Nehru are often breathtaking: that he was degenerate and dissolute; born in a brothel and eventually died of syphilis; impregnated a Catholic nun; claimed to be a Kashmiri Pandit but secretly ate onions; and from age 19 onwards would be drunk every day starting at 9 am. As with America’s alt-right which insists that Barack Obama is a closet Muslim, Hindutva activists allege that Nehru’s grandfather was Ghayas-uddin Ghazi, a Muslim kotwal serving the Mughal court.

What do British people think of Pakistanis?

Jayne Cottrell
Jayne Cottrell, lives in The United Kingdom of Great Britain And Northern Ireland

I am originally from Bradford. The original Pakistani immigrants here (who mainly came from Mirpur and Bangladesh) came just to work. They got their heads down and they worked hard - often living 6 to a room, or squashed with 2 or 3 families in one house. Initially they were met with a mixture of hostility and racism; they were working too hard to worry about that and kept rigidly within their family groups, opened a couple of mosques so they could worship, opened some fantastic curry houses so they could eat familiar food, and kept largely to themselves. Other groups of immigrants went into different businesses.
Their children grew up facing even more entrenched hostility and racism, which I think caused them to largely ‘give up’ on integration, a feeling reinforced with a constant stream of related spouses brought from ‘home’ to marry the UK born children, which served to keep this generation firmly within their family-based social network. Numbers increased while at the same time many ‘white’ families moved out of Bradford as its jobs vanished due to the collapse of the wool industry. Parts of Bradford became a self-contained Urdu speaking enclave of Pakistan.
Now we have 3rd and 4th generation children. Few have chosen to keep entirely within their familiar support network. Some have responded to the hostility and constant feeling of ‘not belonging’ by embracing their Muslim Pakistani heritage with greater enthusiasm. But most identify more strongly now as British and have moved beyond the businesses and social networks of their parents. They are usually regarded as British rather than as Pakistani.

The Subcontinent Quest

On a Quora board, I shared my views about the Subcontinent Quest:

From a foreigner perspective, the grassroots of the subcontinent problem is the partition that had been planned and agreed in closed doors.. Regardless how politicians were smart, honest or distributers; future of sheared number of people was unilaterally made without public consent..

Standard religious, cultural and tribal contradictions were used to fuel the purposely made-tensions among hundreds of millions who had accommodated the shared livelihood for centuries.

The Subcontinent common civilizations and cultural heritage are products of all the peoples; which make it bizarre for any to claim independent ownership..

Therefore; both India and Pakistan are cordially unclear about each other and continue to react rather than act.. The concurrent hard-labor of re-unification will eventually score, in a new world order that is epistemically struggling between sovereign decomposition or regional unification..

Regretfully; this colonial abstract of the subcontinent is widely repeated elsewhere (including my native Sudan) to serve goals are not set by the effected nations..

As filmmakers used to present, Planet Earth will has its Empire..!

Will Pakistan ever become a developed country?

Yes. Pakistan can become a developed country, far more developed than India, even when India is far ahead right now. For this Pakistan government has to take some hard decisions and policy changes. There are some short term steps and some long term. Remember that India was near bankrupt in 1991 and today is hugely successful - long way to go still but blooming.
(There are some comparisons to India which are inevitable but the comparison is not to demean Pakistan; rather to show the way to emulate.)
Cut down on India rhetoric: Far too much importance is given to India and especially Indian Defence purchases (India has S-400, India has SU-30s, India is going to get Rafael’s,etc.) What India does is India’s business. There is no need to match and frankly Pakistan can never achieve parity.
Focus on own people: A nation of happy people is a nation that is powerful and attractive for investments. Internal growth and development should be the priority.
Edit: A rather nasty and abusive comment I received was about happiness. The person quoted World Happiness Index figures and how Pakistan was way ahead than India. He told me to go and build toilets and then f*** myself. My current answer is very sincerely meant. To that misguided person my only answer is that if you are happy with the state of affairs in Pakistan, the state of the economy, the crashing PKR, then what can I say? Be happy and let things run its course.

Will Pakistan vanish from the world map after 2025 or before 2025?

Image result for pakistan pride

By: Ibrahim Jamal Shah, knows Persian
To answer your question one must look towards the concerned facts and figures. A simple Google search would’ve answered your question.
  • Pakistan is a country with the most powerful intelligence gathering system and the most powerful intelligence agency, The Inter-services Intelligence (ISI).[1] [2]
  • Pakistan holds one of the most professional and the most well trained armed forces in the world, with 660,000 serving troops and 550,000 reserves only in the Military (land forces). Ranked at 11th. [3]
  • Pakistan also is one of the seven countries to host nuclear weapons. It is also the only muslim country to possess these weapons. Therefore, wiping if off the map by force would end in destruction and chaos for the world in general and South Asia in particular.[4]
  • Pakistan has a land mass of 796,095 km². Reportedly, ranked at 36th . [5]
  • Pakistan has the highest paved international road – The Karakoram Highway (KKH). [6]
  • Pakistan has the largest canal-based irrigation system in the world. [7] [8]
  • Pakistan has the world’s largest ambulance network. Pakistan’s Edhi Foundation, which is also listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, operates the network. [9]
  • Pakistan’s estimated population was 207,774,520 in August 2017, making it the world’s sixth-most-populous country, behind Brazil and ahead of Nigeria. [10]
  • Pakistan also has one of the oldest civilizations in history, Mehrgarh, dating back to 6000 B.C. Mehrgarh is now seen as a precursor to the Indus Valley Civilization. It is one of the earliest sites with evidence of farming and herding in South Asia. [11]
  • Pakistan has some of the best-trained air force pilots in the world. [12]
  • In the last five years, Pakistan’s literacy rate has grown by 250%, the largest increase in any country to date. (Source: The Factfile Org.) [13]
  • Pakistan is the 7th largest troop contributer to the UN. I wouldn’t dare to go into the details of these missions. You can read them further on Pakistan Army's Contributions in UN Missions[14]
  • Pakistan is also the only country in the world to launch two operations against terrorism, The Operation Zarb-e-Azb and The Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad [15] [16] [17] [18]
Therefore in the spectrum of the above said, Pakistan is here to stay. Yes, we have our drawbacks but we are a work in progress. In my mind the golden words of our Quaid - e - Azam (The Greatest Leader) Muhammad Ali Jinnah echo:
“Do your duty and have faith in God, there is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan!”
Pakistan Paindabad!

Veer & Zara

Indians are more brave in addressing the "Partition" dilemma..
The outstanding economic, demographic and cultural weights of Delhi had no match to the Islamabad's.. Certainly; the religious pros an cons among both had draw the visions, capacities and solutions..
I personally believe that the "Partition" was a political plot; which "Jinnah" was unable to properly seed or grow.. On Parallel; "Gandhi" did not object; acknowledging how religion would be a time bomb.. They both had believed that the only defuse is partitioning the parties..

Bloody Nasreen..

Bloody Nasreen is a 27-year-old girl-next-door from Pakistan who dispatches villains with sword and gun while tackling corruption and human trafficking. Courtesy Shahan Zaidi
Men fell for her looks and women loved her nerve..

Pakistan in great turmoil..
The Land of Purity had realized how many evils and corrupt people, not only living within, but also dominating, ruling and empowering uncounted negative consequences..
We are not that far from 2030, where the imaginable heroic actions of Nasreen will take place.. fighting trafficking, corruption and injustice..
Both the authors and the readers will hope if she is already there..
Both hold the horrific chronicles of today, and uncertain about tomorrow
I always call the 1947 partition as the most awful conspired decision that will survive and ruin everything till end of time.. Pakistan had paid the heavy price for the political tricks that was inspired and planned by early extremists in the Subcontinent.. Yes, they will never unite again.. Yet they will never rest..!!

The Subcontinent

An innocent question:
Since partitions in the Subcontinent at 1947
India became the most populous (and corrupt) democracy
Pakistan observed 8 military coups (including unsuccessful ones)
Bangladesh keeps sliding..
What was wrong..?

The famous Jihadist; Abul Ala Maududi had great influence on the Muslims of the Subcontinent, and beyond up to Al-Banna and Qutb of Egypt..

Certainly Jinnah was influenced too, particularly in the notion that Muslims should not be ruled by non-Muslim..

I guess more lights and insights should be shaded on him, and his unspoken contribution to the Partition..

This is a key for both past and present dilemmas..

Asian Shariah Councils

The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) concluded their 192nd meeting on Thursday with the ruling that women are un-Islamic and that their mere existence contradicted Sharia and the will of Allah. As the meeting concluded CII Chairman Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani noted that women by existing defied the laws of nature, and to protect Islam and the Sharia women should be forced to stop existing as soon as possible. The announcement comes a couple of days after CII’s 191st meeting where they dubbed laws related to minimum marriage age to be un-Islamic.
After declaring women to be un-Islamic, Shirani explained that there were actually two kinds of women – haraam and makrooh. “We can divide all women in the world into two distinct categories: those who are haraam and those who are makrooh. Now the difference between haraam and makrooh is that the former is categorically forbidden while the latter is really really disliked,” Shirani said.

Drones Killings..

US Air Drones had paralyzed Taliban, eliminated Qaeda of Arabia, ereased AlShabab of Somaila, and many others who we do not know.. Just track the closed stories in the news, i.e., LRA of Uganda and War Lords of DRC Katanga.. Certainly, huge unknown civil causalities, to establish a manageable world order..!!
Is it Righteous or Wrong Doings..?

Getting to the grounds of realities and inevitable politics..
It happens that most of the chaos are among Muslims; who are mostly illiterate and unfit.. They blindly and faithfully follow their Muftis.. These Glorified Muftis are advising on 10 years a marriage age for girls, rejecting foreign non-Muslim aid, women are not allowed to drive cars, banning education for girls, an adult male should observe a women when she browses the internet, ban on Western knowledge, and thousands of hilarious Fatwas that ashamed any Muslim with brains..
Yet, those Muftis are leading the opposition to exchange or manage any social or urban developments, to survive on ignorance and back-warding stats..

How much the NGOs are frustrated and got their efforts and lives wasted..?
You can't help a person who rejects your offerings..

Among these poor people, values of human rights are not considered by their immature penal codes, fractured judiciary systems and corrupt politicians.. They can't understand or obey not to plant Cannabis in Afghanistan; stop Piracy in Gulf of Eden, provoke the State in Yemen, or support development in Mali..

It is not only the Dark Times has reborn, but irreversible conditions of humane humiliation and downgrading.. Then, what to do to get them worldly integrated.. Eliminate or Negotiate..?
This was the question, which peoples vary in answers..!

It should not be by all morals, but politicians are always in a hurry for results, once their strategists confirm both margins and potentials.. None of those politicians is that operationally genius to plan it himself, nor that morally noble to care for unseen on TVs..!!

Activists in Europe are exercising advanced intellectual mandates that are not cable to fit with the actual social orders of these outdated communities.. Most of these unfortunate people can’t understand the domains that are debated in blogs, media or academia.. Their needs are concentrated in few materialistic issues, that are controlled by who owns moneys, guns and connections.. Traditional dynasties are not functioning any more, and mostly had faded by the repeated political unrests.. There is no brains to negotiate, but helpless citizens, greedy war lords and notorious civic leaders..

There is a great divide between the need to share the pain, and the need to understand it.. This is not an advocacy for murder whatsoever, but the one to establish true consensus..
Maybe it is the time for NGOs and Activists to revisit their visions and strategies for the best ways forward.. The stage now is full of actors, including the NGOs themselves..!

Yes, it is a great problem, which requires that unknown approach and solutions.. It is increasing by the day, as result of hatred, need and death.. Regretfully, all educated or bright Afghani, Somali, and Yeminis had fled their countries and obtained US or European citizenships.. Who are stayed back there, share with their colleagues in Saudi, Mali, Chad, Sudan, Pakistan the daily search for Dollars.. Corruption became the extraordinary monsters; which no one is capable to fight or control.. It is truly frustrating for me and many others that there are no solutions working..!!

After three decades, the hidden and monopolizing hands over AlQaeda and others are not effectively unctioning.. By laws of organizational behavior, those outlaws are working by their own momentums and had created their own visions and missions..

I strongly believe that all current campaigns and understanding has to change.. Maybe if the independent activists would reach something, Officials will listen.. Between politics and covert operations there are lots of unknown and unspoken issues.. The true stories will never be folded.. This is not the concern here..

It is how to keep the people of good intensions intact, and capable to provide better solutions.. To exchange progrressive ideas rather than debatable information.. The 21st century is the era of intellegent minds rather than information..

Intellectual Enslavement..

Thousands of Afghans attacked an American base where Korans were burned accidentally..
The books have inadvertently thrown into the trash, and Afghans clustered around the base, fired in the air and threw stones; commander of NATO forces in the country apologized and ordered an investigation..
Demonstrators show copies of the Quran allegedly set alight by U.S. soldiers.
Shah Marai / AFP - Getty Images

If the "Books" are burnt; We can print many many more.. But if minds are enslaved, No one; whatsoever, can enlighten..!!

Once in a home-move; I had astonishingly observed how Afghanistan and Pakistani porters dealt with Quran and other "Characteristically-Decorated" Islamic books; with lots of respect and care.. Their behavior had unconsciously lots of controversial idolatries; which are clearly forbidden in Islam.. Yet, the illiterate and poor guys do not know..

What happens in Afghanistan and Pakistan is a deliberate "Intellectual Enslavement" under the "Banners" of Islam.. This is only in favor of corrupt and outdated Politicians, Military and Bureaucrats.. Ignorant and half-literate Imams are comprehensively included too..!!

Is there any difference from the darkness of the Medieval Times..?

Should Muslims stand against.. or they all caught the virus..??

Many of the circulated copies of Quarn among non-Arabic-speakers, with translated meanings and elaborations in their annotations and footnotes; are not reviewed, accredited, or approved by any notable authority; but local ones.. Many Imams and Teachers in the thousands of Maddrasah’s (Religious Schools) are using outdated curriculums, bizarre syllabuses and freak teaching methods.. The widespread hysterical violence and ignorant reactions are the obvious outcomes of inadequate upbringing systems and educational strategies; if any..!!

Many speaks on the Muslim Uprising, represented by the cheerful gestures of closing code, satellite stations and organized events.. Regretfully, none of those reflects Islamic family code, Islamic urge on hierarchal epistemism or Islamic public accountability.. I strongly doubt that who endorses the said uprising, understands Islam the way it should..!

Decades ago, a common joke was well known in Egypt.. (A Hajj (pilgrim) would be known by his wrongdoings..!!) This folkloric perception reflects how pilgrimage is a license to be trustworthy by the naïve commons, despite what actually a person does..!

Between Illiterature and Poverty lay all evils..!

What Does Pakistan Want..?

Repeating the charismatic essences of Obama; Imran Khan had recently shocked the political stage with his unprecedented show in Karachi. On December 25th, tens of thousands came in, listen to his hot slogans, and compiled critics against the ruling system.. Later, Imran, a cricket legend and founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf (or the Movement for Justice Party); personally had described the event as a “Playing World Cup Finals”.. This is relatively true..!!

He summaries the furies of young generations, unfortunate majorities and frustrated mid class in agendas to reform economy, politics and administration.. Despite how appealing these calls are, there was no clear nor coherent roadmap on how to bring them for action.. As a very much Obama-inspired, he certainly was aiming at mobilizing the nation to innovate actions rather than dictating them.. The momentum gained for his party is not granted to last, unless executive programs are set and implemented following such euphoria.. Typically; a Subcontinent political pitfall..

On the other hand, Mr Jilani; the Pakistan Prime Minister is likely to be humiliated by the Supreme Court of Law on his neglection or failure to carry on the lawful actions against corrupt president and other officials.. However, his battle against the motion of contempt will be for his own political survival rather than restoring the national order.. This proves how the political elite of Pakistan is the least faithful to the country.. The same applies in India on the bitter battles on corruption; as well as the public unrest in Bangladesh on false developments.. A Subcontinent earthquake on the formation..!!

As an outsider, I can see the rotten roots of this political standstill phenomenon, not only in Pakistan, but across the Subcontinent.. Commonly, there is a great frustration against: weak corruption control, bizarre Gov-administration, false development management and hilarious foreign relations.. The whole Subcontinent had been deformed to undermine any real sovereignty and prosperity.. The true pitfalls lay with both politicians and intellectuals, who had sold their endeavors for either corrupt personal gains or contagious show-off syndromes..

Despite the political and practical facts, I insist on calling the countries of India, Pakistan Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; by “The Subcontinent”; the political fact that was broken by 1945 partition.. Inevitably, the main five communities constitute one culture and one school of thought.. There are no epistemic evidences, including religion, would support that political partition.. I know, many would reject this statement, many would curse and give names, and others would simply laugh..!

The 1st pitfall: A History Misspell..
Since the early civilization across the Indus valley; Pakistan was destined to be the western line of defense for the Subcontinent. The 1949 Partition monopolized the political platform for these rich natures, peoples and cultures. Unfortunately; both leaders and politicians of the Subcontinent were and still easy prey for such universal strategic planning. Till date; referrals, propositions and engagements are widely ruined by the political bodies, which are greatly disproportionate to the public. Unfortunately, and due to economic globalization and political fragmentation; it will continue ahead. Therefore, no wonder that these "Partitioned" States are confused in defining their true identities..

No wonder that there are many failed cases of the delivery, despite the energy and capacities of the majorities..

From a military point of view; The Subcontinent had faced the threats of Alexander the Great.. Only the mountains of Pakistani Western Frontiers had prevented the Greek invasion.. On the contrary; Arians and Mongols had managed to penetrate the Indus plains from the unthinkable feet of the Himalayas.. Throughout history, The Subcontinent was topographically isolated against the armed conflicts around.. This had drawn its strategic security and alliances.. Always; Afghanistan, Nepal, Tibet, and Burma are the buffer-borders of the Subcontinent.. Only the military professionals had inherited the simplicity of historical topography.. Such facts are readable in current formation and distribution of military units across the Subcontinent..

The strategic maps of the Northern Frontiers of Kashmir, or the UN Corridors, were products of deep insights on management and control of water and mineral resources.. In addition this was meant to create a lasting-hot spot to prevent both China and Russia from reaching the warm waters of Arabian Sea.. In Kashmir, four groups are confronting each other, abandoning social development, deteriorating economical tourism and deforming the cultures. Kashmiris were never extremists, as their traditions had balanced their own identities against visitors, partners and invaders as well.. Kashmiris, regardless of their faith, are rapidly turning revolutionists.. This is will not solve the conflict, but arms it..

The 2nd pitfall: A Faith of Independence..
Since the partition, then the declaration of Bangladesh, the political strategists of the Subcontinent; as well as politicians and intelligentsia became increasingly incapable to define both threats and alliances.. As said so; let’s go back in history, when the nations had been developed and their principle geo-cultural identities were structured.. Nations are always driven by the trio of survival; Resources, Cultures and Arms..

The vast resources across the subcontinent had allowed for diversity, wealth and skills.. There were no famines or malnutrition except in the recent years.. No urban poverty prior to the colonization.. and No social epidemics till the decay of Mongol destiny.. The fertile land, plenty of waters and craftsmanship had nurtured the political establishment with repeated long peaceful and calm decades.. This is what had significantly enabled the flourish of cultures, arts and religions.. All religions had traded their rituals and concepts, all cultures had shared roots and codes, and all arts had tasted unified tunes and colors.. The wealthy resources had attracted strong navel foreigners to culturally reshape the 4,000 miles coastline, while the coverts services were creating the political divide of the nation..!

As how much Pakistani leaders had believed in the Partition, and worked for it; as how they reshaped the culture of their people by magnifying issues that would apart them from fellow Indians.. The become-traditional temperedness of a Pakistani person is a product of 60 years of systematic religious and patriotic curriculums to build a different identity.. I do acknowledge Janah and his executives for such remarkable mass communication achievement; despite my own reservations on the outcomes..!

The 3rd pitfall: A Blindness over Inevitabilities..
Culturally, despite the bitterness of armed conflicts, the ugly politics of vast democracies, and the spread of corrupt and ill urbanization; seeds of commons alignment and closeness are easily to be found.. Among the colors of hatred and heartaches, a native person has no homesickness within 2.5 million square miles of the Subcontinent.. Maybe, if people are left alone; things would be different.. Yet, this is the dilemmas of the Globe and the Mankind..

Folklore, Linguistics and Costumes are almost identical.. Social patterns, ranks and grades are the same, with different accent.. These cultural mosaics are the roots for integration, nor partition.. All communities of the Subcontinent had been dictated to share an excessive honor for the British Colonials and their British-borne Leaders.. Both realization and consciousness had been irreversibly poisoned with the partition concept; even far beyond the vision of the Colonials themselves..!!

So, what does Pakistan want..?

Pakistan is a magnifier of the overall Subcontinent case.. Politicians betrayed the commons.. Intelligentsia are confused between Britishness and their own.. Military are frustrated of strategy to keep them unnecessarily alert.. Youngsters are angry for being categorized as ill-fated nations..

Pakistan always claims to be largely different from India, with Muslim and Urdu speaking majorities. Pakistan debates with India on securing the strategic Northern Frontiers (Kashmir), while the geographic depth takes them further north towards Central Asia.. Chinese relations are weakened by unrests and uncertainties of the Chinese politics itself..

The recent ultimatum to arrest Musharraf once steps back on Pakistani soil, reflects and interprets the threats the political establishment feels from a General who managed to be a Politician.. Despite how he had been loyal to the conventional Pakistan political strategies, he had on parallel expressed readiness to change the roles of the game..!!

Should the new generations erase the seeds of hatred and confusion, replacing them, and establish their true solidarity apart from the fake partitions on lands, religions and resources..?

My predictions tells coming blow ups across the Subcontinent, defeating the ill-political establishments in favor of their common and lawful future..

Hafiz.. The Great Shirazi..!

Inspired by Ekhoy: Adam Aba Husain..

Khwajeh Shams al-Din Muhammad Hafez-e Shirazi

Admit something:
Everyone you see, you say to them,
"Love me."
Of course you do not do this out loud;
Otherwise,
Someone would call the cops.
Still though, think about this,
This great pull in us to connect.
Why not become one
Who lives with a full moon in each eye
That is always saying
With that sweet moon
Language
What every other eye in this world
Is dying to
Hear.

----------------------------------------

Once a young woman asked me,
"How does it feel to be a man?"
And I replied,
"My dear,
I am not so sure."
Then she said,
"Well, aren’t you a man?"
And this time I replied,
"I view gender
As a beautiful animal
That people often take for a walk on a leash
And might try to enter in some odd contest
To try to win prizes.
"My dear,
A better question for me
Would have been,
"How does it feel to be a heart?"
For all I know is Love,
And I find my heart Infinite

----------------------------------------

And Everywhere!
What is the difference
Between your Existence
And that of a Saint?
The Saint knows
That the spiritual path
Is a sublime chess game with God
And that the Beloved
Has just made such a Fantastic Move
That the Saint is now continually
Tripping over joy
And Bursting out in Laughter
And saying, "I Surrender!"
Whereas, my dear,
I am afraid you still think
You have a thousand serious moves.

Killed Honor or Honor Killing..!!

I'm not sure which "Honor" they are talking about??
A big dilemma among Muslims that they confused Islam with Local culture, producing an ugly misinterpretation that cripple them, future and other Muslims as well..
The campaign against the said violence should be mature and led by open minded, well equipped and truly Muslim scholars..
Regretfully, it seems there is no such brand of people anymore..!!

Did 22-year-old Saima Bibi scream out as she was electrocuted at her parents’ home in their village near the southern Punjab city of Bahawalpur in Pakistan? Did she plead with her family for her life? Did she seek mercy?

The answers to these questions will never be known. In one of the most harrowing “honour” killings reported in recent months in the country, Saima was, according to media reports, murdered by her relatives. They committed the crime following a ruling by a gathering of village elders that she be put to death by electrocution for eloping with a man she had chosen to marry. Police are investigating the murder and the prime minister has ordered the findings be submitted urgently.

An autopsy report states the girl had died due to severe burn injuries. Her relatives had said she had committed suicide. A police officer in Hakra village, where Saima died, Afzal Lodhi, told IRIN “a raid was conducted to recover Saima’s body” after police received a tip-off over the phone.

Murders of the kind which ended Saima’s life are not uncommon. According to the autonomous Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), over 600 women were killed for “honour” in 2009. This usually entails the murder of women suspected of having sexual relations outside marriage; choosing who to marry rather than accepting decisions made by families; or behaving in other ways that are seen as “immoral”. Other “honour” killings go unreported, especially when they take place in remote, rural areas.

Engineering the World..!

What is happening in Pakistan is not only a shame on the face of rescue operations, but also on the worldly-government-controlled preparedness for emergencies.. I need to put it rough and tough; it is not “engineered” enough..!

Apparently, the “Engineers” mind set is greatly different from other professionals or administrators.. The same was in Katrina, when was confused by FEMA administrators, but rescued by Army Engineers.. in Dubai, when boomed up by Engineers, then collapsed by Accountants.. Now in Pakistan as the chaos spread by run-away Politicians, and No engineers to restore sense of order.. Maybe they should revisit the curriculum of emergency workers worldwide.. By the way, if you would survey around, "Engineers" are the fewest caliber among NGOs and Emergency workers worldwide.. I remember back in Sudan in 1990, among IDPs, I was wondering why most of the aid staff are performing irrational scope breakdown, operating in a lengthy sequence or missing the logic of "Structure"..

The recent global turbulences and gaps of dissatisfaction; had pointed to the necessities of integrity, experience, innovation and visionaries to sustain any success. People need is to work on the basics; where scope is comprehensively auditable, procurement is fairly just, and governance is critically addressed. During the last few years, both government and business endeavors were packed by eloquent statements; yet could not establish sanctuaries against market extremism, surprises and/or communication violence. Confronting the overwholmed consuming trends, breaking the cycles of urban frustration, restructuring the financial maturity, and restoring both public and professional confidence are the imminent road mapping for any public strategist, planner and/or executive.

Always, there is a need for a reliable tool to turn colorful pretty pictures, concepts and wish-lists into constructible forms and realities. Not only to taste and visualize the futuristic themes, but to realize the true dramatic cost of delivery. The need for unshakable adherence to QMS, CRM, CSR and Governance is the guideline to structure confident WBS, CSFs, and KPIs for successful monitoring and operating systems. Should all endeavors been carried out as research “Projects”; which require conclusive realization, governing integrity and absolute visionary on both shareholders and processing.
