Tango on..

Inevitably, Tango is sensational.. It is an interpretation of life.. Certainly it was not an invention of one person, but centuries of living exercises with full measures and exposures..
The secret of Tango is the Latino Passion for life, which is a distant evolution from its Latin roots.. Tango had taken Latin into another level of life, where no partition, separation or limits for the humane exercise, including all morals, ethics and philosophies..

Tango is mostly Atheist.. Yet, Monotheist..!!!!

Frank (Al Pacino) teaches the beautiful and charming Donna (Gabrielle Anwar) how to dance the tango.

No mistakes in Tango.. not like life..
If you make a mistake, get all tangled up, just Tango on..!

Male Abuse..!

Most people recall women whenever the issue of domestic violence is open.. Yet, it was surveyed that 40% of the reported victims are men..
We have a moral issue here..!!

Despite how the common legacies of Mankind are dominated by masculinity rather than equality; the ruling cultures and folklores had always hidden the cases of Male-Abuse.. Simply, this phenomenon does not fit with all inspiring images of Cavilers, Savors and Heroes..
Since the publically accepted Feminism concepts, the public gradually became ready to digest the changing morals and codes..

Generally, Male-Abuse is an urban phenomenon, with rare cases in rural or nomadic regions, despite the fact that women is such terrains are more "masculinized" by nature of participatory and culture of hardship.. Yet, and across the world, only few cases are there marking the male abuse.. The famous one is that Indian group of women, armed with wooden sticks, who would travel to villages to "punish" the men who are abusing their women.. Apparently, it is a unique Indian legacy..

Utilities

A Telephone Conversation:

  • Hello, How are you?
  • Fine, Thanks?
  • How is your wife and boys?
  • She had traveled to see her parents. I'm stuck with the boys
  • I guess if they would accompany her would be good for them
  • Nooo.. I can't spare them.. It is too dangerous over there..!
(a pit of silence..)
  • However, she will come back tomorrow. It was only a five days trip
  • Safe return
  • Shall we catch up the day after
  • Ok, fair, looking forward
  • Take care
  • Bye

This is how the masculine culture had broken down the Arab world
I had spent sometime trying to imagine how this young mother would react
Then realized that it seems OK for this culture for women to be oppressed
Arab women are mostly domestic and reproduction utilities..!!

Heaviest Women 2012

Obesity is cultural rather than genetic;
yet; genes would mutate with cultural oppressions..
There are many funny proverbs related to fatness,
which would make your day.. and tomorrow..!!

Overview

Bloomberg ranked countries on average adult-female weight and calculated the pound-loss necessary to reach the upper level of "normal."

Methodology

Weights were calculated by adapting the standard BMI formula: BMI = (weight in pounds / (height in inches x height in inches)) x 703. BMI is an index of weight-to-height used to classify adults as underweight, overweight or obese. Average adult BMI data were collected from the World Health Organization. Sources for average adult height data included OECD Society at a Glance (for OECD and Asia/Pacific countries) and MEASURE DHS, a survey project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. To extrapolate 2012 BMI, a simple linear trend was applied to BMI statistics from 1980 to 2008, the most recent data available. Ranking included countries with at least 1.5 million male and female adults and with complete BMI data from 1980 to 2008.

Understanding or Confronting 4:34

This post was inspired by Feminism in Faith by Zainah Anwar
http://www.buzzfeed.com/rafiazakaria/feminism-in-faith-islam

If anyone opens up the text of the Holy Qur’an and leafs through its pages until reaches chapter 4, which is titled “The Verse of Women,” and continues on until reaches verse 34, will find the following proclamation:

“Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband’s] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance — [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.”

the Muslim scholar and Boston University professor Kecia Ali, in her discussion of the verse and the translation, Ali points out that the three most controversial words in the verse, “qawammun” (previously translated as “guardians”),
qanitat” (previously translated as “obedient ”), and
nushuz” (previously translated as “disobedient”),
Must all be left untranslated.. These words require interpretations

Urge or Love..?

After 60 years in life..
I have an issue which I can’t comprehend..

Across regions, cultures and histories..
Men abuse women; later they share the same bed..
Women hate men’s aggression; later they share the same bed..
It seems all is about mating..

By any means, this is not love..
Simply, a great irresistible urge to mate..

Later; they breed new human beings..
Produce many of them..
Then; we question underscoring and terrorism..!
This is why the women empowerment programs fail
Anti-domestic abuse fails..
Birth control fails..
Anti-Trafficking fails..
Anti-Child-labor fails..
Anti-FGM fails..
Anti-poverty fails
Then, the overall development fails

I’m Confused..
...

The true story is less than 10 minutes..!!

Dress

Dress is an address, accessory and brand.. It interprets lots of our culture and identity.. It is not a purpose or an aim, but spontaneous reflection of our taste, personality and social behavior..

Dress has implications on economy, politics and social being.. All dresses are religiously driven, since Adam and Eve felt how "inappropriate" to move around naked.. Even "Bikinis" are religious statements..

Unfortunately, most fashion trends start with debatable or controversial statements, particularly within the underdeveloped communities..

Regretfully, that many sail with this issue beyond reasonable senses, creating environments of skeptics and hatred..

Sex, China, Mistress Culture

4238801543_de01159160_o

THERE IS something I must tell you about China: It is rather morally creative in the usage of its women.

There isn't a hotel, massage parlor, ktv, or conference hall in town that isn't frequented by “little sisters” (xiaojie), escort personnel (baopo), hostesses (peinv), or other types of prostitutes (jinv).
There’s a name for any relationship a female plaything may fall into: Here are the “second wives” (er laopo), women [who may have family or kids but] who indulge in extramarital affairs with men, married or not. Then we have “the thirds” (disanzhe) who are casual love affairs only.

The queen of all female roles, however –in direct competition with the faithful “wife” (laopo)- is the “mistress” (qingren). The mistress, a femme fatal, not only embodies adventure and carnal pleasures, but is also the surest status symbol a man can wish for: She shows you have money!

Technically, only married men can have mistresses; otherwise, if the gentleman is single, we would refer to his female company –however many of them- as simple “girlfriends” (nvpengyou). The Chinese tradition of maintaining mistresses is based on what good Christians would refer to as adultery –a sin; yet in China it is mere custom –a habit.

Consequently, when Westerners first come to China, they are utterly perplexed by the strict division here between marriage, romance, and sex – for which, in Chinese thinking, of course (at least) three different types of women are required.

Xu Qiya, a Jiangsu party official, had clearly set a local record with 140 mistresses; we know because he kept a sex diary; but he isn't an inventor: In fact, I have yet to meet a dulcet Chinese girl who has not been offered a gift from a married man at some time. At least, that’s what they told me.

Accepting any gift from a married man, whether it being a handbag, jewelry, a car, a trip to the beaches of Hainan, is the unspoken agreement of becoming the mistress of that benefactor. It is the lure and excitement of an extraordinary life-style –luxurious, free, illicit, and irresponsible - that drives ever more 20-somethings not to marry, or at least to postpone it until their bodies become less marketable.

Those entrepreneurial women, of course, fill the pool of potential future mistresses in China to the brim. If a woman is not married by the age of 26, she “expired” and is usually stigmatized as “leftover woman” (shengnv).

Now let us talk about the situation of the Chinese married man. Post-marital infidelity is encouraged in China just as pre-marital sex is encouraged in Europe. In comparison to the West, only very few wives in China will file for divorce upon discovery of her husband’s infidelity. It is rather sad.
In China, sex and power are a pair. Xinhua News, a state media, recently found that 95% of all corrupt officials in China also kept mistresses. And Tom Doctoroff, an economist, estimates that second wives probably account for one third of China’s entire consumption of luxury goods.

Let us talk about China’s capital -Beijing: From top to bottom, it isn't a place for connubial happiness: It’s a very patriarchal society (there is mistress culture, but no such things as mister culture), and some of the most powerful men, including the Communist Party of China, create and procreate here, trailed by legions of businessmen, scholars, diplomats, and entrepreneurs, who mostly see no problem in renting a maid for warming their pillows.

In fact, Business Insider, the magazine, quoted a vice-ministerial-level official who insisted that “there is no official at his level who doesn't have at least a few lovers.” It is a must-have.
The victim is the young woman of China: As her feelings for any particular man dwindles (they are all cheaters, no?), she, too, becomes emotionally detached, and regards being a mistress as a form of business, or transactions of favors –a form of consumerism.

There are several grades of “maintaining” (baoyang) a mistress: The cheapest, of course, is to bed a university student. She is young, flexible, poor, and full of romantic ideas in her head. She will eventually marry a fellow classmate, but until then she may want to sneak out and bag a sugar daddy in Wudaokou, Zhongguancun, or Shaoyang district.

Next is the working woman. She is independent, has experience, and owns or rents her own place. (She might be even married, but, with her husband banging the next hostess at the local karaoke bar, she probably thinks what the heck.)

Perhaps the highest cost of maintenance goes to the trophy mistress (huaping, a "flower pot"). Her goal and profession is to conquer the most powerful man she can find at a time. It's a life-style - it's her religion. Enormous financial resources, and a good amount of drama, are necessary to snag such high-profile gold digger.

It has been observed that many Chinese women opt out of the Chinese tradition of cheating husbands and try to find a foreigner, preferably from a traditional monogamous society like Western Europe. Those "foreigners" (laowai) may also cheat on their spouse, of course, but for individual reasons, not, as is the case in China, as a social prescription or norm.

And so the mistress culture of China lives on, from vulgar to lustrous and glittering, and if the endless supply of young women for successful men does not ebb - and if women don't divorce - the husband and his lovers will happily drive the market for luxury goods, hotel rooms, and publications about mistresses, and, almost as an afterthought, minister to their ethical ruin.

I am Malala..

I started thinking about that, and I used to think that the Talib would come, and he would just kill me. But then I said, 'If he comes, what would you do Malala?' then I would reply to myself, 'Malala, just take a shoe and hit him.'  But then I said, 'If you hit a Talib with your shoe, then there would be no difference between you and the Talib. You must not treat others with cruelty and that much harshly, you must fight others but through peace and through dialogue and through education.' Then I said I will tell him how important education is and that 'I even want education for your children as well.' And I will tell him, 'That's what I want to tell you, now do what you want.'

(I like the intact PR and Political campaign that plans and manages her Case)

Malala Yousafzai, the 16-year-old Pakistani advocate for women's rights and access to education, appeared on the Daily Show last night, ahead of Friday's pending announcement for the 2013 recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Her answer to one of Jon Stewart's questions left him speechless.
An outspoken critic of the Taliban's tactics in her native Swat Valley from a young age, Malala was the subject of an attempted assassination at the hands of a Taliban gunman because she was unafraid to speak out.

Then, at just 14 years old, a Talib fighter boarded her bus, pointed a pistol at her head, and pulled the trigger. But she survived, made a full recovery in England, and has become and transformative figure in human rights.

Now, she is poised to become the youngest Nobel Peace laureate ever.
In the key moment of the interview, Stewart asked her how she reacted when she learned that the Taliban wanted her dead. Her answer was absolutely remarkable:

What if I Take off My Hijab?

"I had too much pity and I took off the hijab to visit her. Since that moment, I’m living a double life: I wear the hijab in the city where I live and take it off to visit my parents. I feel so hypocritical, but every time I tried to visit them wearing hijab, they refused to let me in their home...."

http://www.onislam.net/english/ask-the-counselor/young-hearts-and-minds/163203-what-if-i-take-off-my-hijab.html?Minds=&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

It is a million dollar question that no final or "Acceptable" answer is given.. There are great differences between an answer to be accepted by the middle eastern "emotional" mindset, and the one to meet any other "Rationale" mindset.. Let's be frank and clear; without the typical fears or attires..!

Hijab is not the attestation of the belief; but a tool for modesty.. It compliments tangible and intangible theological issues.. It draws identities of both community and individuals.. It enables unspoken set of close, intimate and personal abbreviations..

Hijab was never a solely hallmark of Islam.. Across all beliefs and religions, Hijab is a statement of sacred practice and envision of life..

Islam was never meant to exhaust its believers in unnecessary confrontations instead of the continuous acknowledgement of the Mighty Creator swt.. This is in both public and private venues and events.. Muslims are advised to avoid wasting time and energy in nonsense, and focus on progressive matters and ways to enforce the belief rather than defending it..

If we look to the matters from the point of view that once AbdulMutalib had put prior to Islam; that the House has its own God to protect.. We shall invest all resources to empower, strengthen and understand.. rather than defend, protect or shield.. Then, all practices will be gauged by the inner sense rather than the policing one..

Allah swt looks into your heart.. measure your brightness.. and is pleased by your sincerity.. Anything else, including Hijab, Bear or Turban is just a compliment.. If ones inner is empty, what any custom would do..?

This is not a call to take off the Hijab.. but to realize that to live with or without is not the problem.. nor the true wrongdoing.. A True Muslim Believer would magic the senses of all surrounding people; to witness the belief not the believer..!!

Got it..?

Co-Matrimony..

Matrimony is the most sacred practice of Mankind.. Despite the notions of breading, mating or intimacy, true mystery of matrimony is only known by Aallh swt.. Therefore, addressing all related issues had to provision for the unknown aggregates and the non-comprehended details..!

During the last couple of decades; the matter of (Polygany) had got lots of debates and noises.. The active Muslims, particularly in the Western hemisphere; had inevitably brought the subject for open discussions and research.. However, (Polygamy) is wrongly and widely used as a term; which means multiple spouses for a single mate, regardless of the sex.. Most dictionaries don’t address the true term (Polygany), defining the multiple females for a single male spouse..  Muslim, Mormons, some other Christians, some indigenous people in Africa already acknowledge (Polygany) as a lawful matrimony practice.. Notably, most of the living species practice (Polygany) in some way or another..!

Polygany is not odd, nor norm.. It is not compulsory nor discretionary.. Polygany is spontaneous rather than rationale.. It is a simple application to promote, support and celebrate the livelihood.. The overwhelming discussions would only develop discomfort and confusion over an application that is related to circumstances, capabilities and taste.. Regretfully, most enthusiastic ones would find themselves either lack supporting rationales or been heavily scrutinized by the monogamists.. Thus, the whole Islamic belief is unintentionally reduced to relevant details on housing, socialization and mating..!

The link below was my conclusion of an intensive research; which had avoided the use of the Quranic verses, but explored the true Islamic context.. Certainly, the (few) associated conditions with (Polygany) are widely ignored; and often replaced by material resourcefulness.. The majority of the polyganous practices certify disgraceful episodes of unspoken domestic abuse, unrest and sometimes violence.. This injustice would never interpret or serve Islam or Muslims..!

The true context would define (Polygany) as a progressive tool to enhance and empower the Muslim family; and the Muslim Community.. The least added values would be physiological relief and psychological comfort; which would affect both parties.. The optimum added values would be social sustainability, demographic strength and political immunity..!

Certainly (Polygany) is affiliated to acceptable level of bread-earning resources; in order to reasonably host two families or more.. Sharing a husband is not associated with sharing a house or any other facilities.. Muslims are religiously advised (by Quran and Sunnah) to mind their way of doing things, and avoid challenging their own selves..!

You should date an illiterate girl..!

Date a girl who doesn't read. Find her in the weary squalor of a Midwestern bar. Find her in the smoke, drunken sweat, and varicolored light of an upscale nightclub. Wherever you find her, find her smiling. Make sure that it lingers when the people that are talking to her look away. Engage her with unsentimental trivialities. Use pick-up lines and laugh inwardly. Take her outside when the night overstays its welcome. Ignore the palpable weight of fatigue. Kiss her in the rain under the weak glow of a streetlamp because you’ve seen it in a film. Remark at its lack of significance. Take her to your apartment. Dispatch with making love. Fuck her.

Let the anxious contract you've unwittingly written evolve slowly and uncomfortably into a relationship. Find shared interests and common ground like sushi and folk music. Build an impenetrable bastion upon that ground. Make it sacred. Retreat into it every time the air gets stale or the evenings too long. Talk about nothing of significance. Do little thinking. Let the months pass unnoticed. Ask her to move in. Let her decorate. Get into fights about inconsequential things like how the fucking shower curtain needs to be closed so that it doesn't fucking collect mold. Let a year pass unnoticed. Begin to notice.

Figure that you should probably get married because you will have wasted a lot of time otherwise. Take her to dinner on the forty-fifth floor at a restaurant far beyond your means. Make sure there is a beautiful view of the city. Sheepishly ask a waiter to bring her a glass of champagne with a modest ring in it. When she notices, propose to her with all of the enthusiasm and sincerity you can muster. Do not be overly concerned if you feel your heart leap through a pane of sheet glass. For that matter, do not be overly concerned if you cannot feel it at all. If there is applause, let it stagnate. If she cries, smile as if you’ve never been happier. If she doesn't, smile all the same.

Let the years pass unnoticed. Get a career, not a job. Buy a house. Have two striking children. Try to raise them well. Fail frequently. Lapse into a bored indifference. Lapse into an indifferent sadness. Have a mid-life crisis. Grow old. Wonder at your lack of achievement. Feel sometimes contented, but mostly vacant and ethereal. Feel, during walks, as if you might never return or as if you might blow away on the wind. Contract a terminal illness. Die, but only after you observe that the girl who didn't read never made your heart oscillate with any significant passion, that no one will write the story of your lives, and that she will die, too, with only a mild and tempered regret that nothing ever came of her capacity to love.

Do those things, god damnit, because nothing sucks worse than a girl who reads. Do it, I say, because a life in purgatory is better than a life in hell. Do it, because a girl who reads possesses a vocabulary that can describe that amorphous discontent of a life unfulfilled—a vocabulary that parses the innate beauty of the world and makes it an accessible necessity instead of an alien wonder. A girl who reads lays claim to a vocabulary that distinguishes between the specious and soulless rhetoric of someone who cannot love her, and the inarticulate desperation of someone who loves her too much. A vocabulary, goddamnit, that makes my vacuous sophistry a cheap trick.

Do it, because a girl who reads understands syntax. Literature has taught her that moments of tenderness come in sporadic but knowable intervals. A girl who reads knows that life is not planar; she knows, and rightly demands, that the ebb comes along with the flow of disappointment. A girl who has read up on her syntax senses the irregular pauses—the hesitation of breath—endemic to a lie. A girl who reads perceives the difference between a parenthetical moment of anger and the entrenched habits of someone whose bitter cynicism will run on, run on well past any point of reason, or purpose, run on far after she has packed a suitcase and said a reluctant goodbye and she has decided that I am an ellipsis and not a period and run on and run on. Syntax that knows the rhythm and cadence of a life well lived.

Date a girl who doesn't read because the girl who reads knows the importance of plot. She can trace out the demarcations of a prologue and the sharp ridges of a climax. She feels them in her skin. The girl who reads will be patient with an intermission and expedite a denouement. But of all things, the girl who reads knows most the ineluctable significance of an end. She is comfortable with them. She has bid farewell to a thousand heroes with only a twinge of sadness.

Don’t date a girl who reads because girls who read are storytellers. You with the Joyce, you with the Nabokov, you with the Woolf. You there in the library, on the platform of the metro, you in the corner of the café, you in the window of your room. You, who make my life so goddamned difficult. The girl who reads has spun out the account of her life and it is bursting with meaning. She insists that her narratives are rich, her supporting cast colorful, and her typeface bold. You, the girl who reads, make me want to be everything that I am not. But I am weak and I will fail you, because you have dreamed, properly, of someone who is better than I am. You will not accept the life of which I spoke at the beginning of this piece. You will accept nothing less than passion, and perfection, and a life worthy of being told. So out with you, girl who reads. Take the next southbound train and take your Hemingway with you. Or, perhaps, stay and save my life.

Malala Day

A new active and influential (Female Generation) in the making.. Another (Female & Young) Mandela emerges from the chaos of Pakistan.. She will inspire the (Adult Female) to review their efforts and gains.. The simple call for (Free Schooling) will get lots of capable ears.. An interesting story that had just started..!!

What I like about this carefully orchestrated British campaign; is how it elevates the cause above the narrow views of religion and race.. There is a calculated attempt to recover the losses from the wrongly-guided millennial agendas of liberty and competences.. As how intellectualism is needed; the simple cultural symbolism is critical too.. Maybe this whole episode is far complex to the realities of South Asia, and other 3rd world countries; but it will establish a universal platform.. The same Mandela had launched his legacy; which spread across all ethnic and cultural tension spots worldwide.. apart from off-mind countries and nations..!!

Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl who was shot in the head by the Taliban, delivered a powerful address to the United Nations in New York on Friday, calling on governments around the world to provide every child with free education and denouncing the terrorists who attacked her.

Malala, who was ambushed on a bus in Pakistan's Swat valley after promoting girls' access to education, said that she would not be silenced and instead stepped up her campaign to eradicate illiteracy and poverty. Speaking to a delegation of more than 500 young people, Malala said: "On the night of 9 October 2012, the Taliban shot me on the left side of my forehead. They shot my friends, too. They thought the bullet would silence us, but they failed." She criticised the Taliban for their interpretation of Islam in their attack on girls' education. "They think that God is a tiny, little conservative being who would send girls to the hell just because of going to school. The terrorists are misusing the name of Islam and Pashtun society for their own personal benefits," she said.

Malala called for women around the world to be "brave" in their struggle to fight back. "Let us arm ourselves with the weapon of knowledge and let us shield ourselves with unity and togetherness," Malala said. In November, UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon declared 12 July, her birthday, Malala Day.

While introducing her on Friday at the UN headquarters in New York, Ban said that by targeting Malala, "extremists showed what they fear most: a girl with a book." In her speech, Malala dedicated the day to women around the world. "Malala Day is not my day: today is the day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights," Malala said.

She delivered her remarks from a raised platform and said she was wearing a shawl belonging to the late Pakistani politician Benazir Bhutto. "Thousands of people have been killed by the terrorists and millions injured, I am just one of them," Malala said. "So here I stand, here I stand, just one girl among many." She said she was at the UN to speak for the education of every child and that she believes peace is necessary for education. "This is what my soul is telling me, be peaceful and love everyone," she said. "So today, we call upon the world leaders to change their strategic policies in favor of peace and prosperity," Malala said.

She then called on all governments to offer free education, to fight against terrorism and protect children from violence. "We are really tired of these wars," she said. Malala called on women to take up the fight, and not expect men to do it for them. "I am focusing on women's rights and education because they are suffering the most. There was a time when women asked men to stand up for their rights, but this time we will do it for ourselves." She said this was not a call for men to step away from women's rights but that she wanted to focus on encouraging women to empower themselves. "We can not all succeed when half of us are held back," she said.

Former British prime minister Gordon Brown, who escorted her to the UN meeting, described Malala as "the most courageous girl in the world". Malala was sent to a British hospital for rehabilitation after the assassination attempt and now attends Edgbaston high school for girls in Birmingham. She also set up the Malala Fund to direct money to education efforts for young women in Pakistan and around the world. Following Malala Yousafzai's speech to the UN today, Sadiq Khan MP, the Shadow Justice Secretary said: “Malala Yousafzai is a brave and inspirational advocate for improving education standards across the world, especially for women and girls. Her speech today at the UN proved she won’t let anything hold her back from her campaign for education for all”

Has the sexual revolution been good for American women?

25 Signs American Women Are Being Destroyed By The Sexual Revolution And Our Promiscuous Culture

By Michael Snyder, on January 21st, 2013

Lady Gaga - Symbol Of The Modern American Woman

Has the sexual revolution been good for American women?  Not at all.  In fact, when you look at the facts it becomes clear that the sexual revolution has been an absolute disaster for American women.  In the United States today, men have been trained to primarily view women as sex objects, and our culture has become exceedingly promiscuous.

As a result, the United States leads the world in teen pregnancy, there are 19 million new STD infections every single year, more than half of all children born to women under the age of 30 are being born out of wedlock and we are witnessing the systematic breakdown of the family unit in America.  And yet anyone that tries to teach our young women that they should dress modestly and keep themselves pure for marriage is severely criticized.

Well, if all Americans actually did keep themselves pure until marriage, we wouldn’t have nearly the problems with STDs, teen pregnancy and abortion that we do today.  The consequences of teaching our young women that they should be “free” to run around and sleep with a whole bunch of different men have been dramatic.

The following are 25 signs that American women are being destroyed by the sexual revolution and our promiscuous culture…

#1 There are 19 million new STD infections in the United States every single year.  Approximately half of them happen to young people in the 15 to 24-year-old age bracket.
#2 It costs the U.S. health care system approximately $17,000,000,000 every single year to treat sexually transmitted diseases.
#3 There were more than 1.4 million cases of chlamydia reported in the United States in 2011.  An astounding 33 percent of those cases involved Americans that were younger than 20 years of age.
#4 It is estimated that about one out of every six Americans between the ages of 14 and 49 have genital herpes.
#5 24,000 American women become infertile each year due to undiagnosed STDs.
#6 In the United States today, approximately 47 percent of all high school students have had sex.
#7 Sadly, one out of every four teen girls in the U.S. has at least one sexually transmitted disease.
#8 According to one survey, 24 percent of all U.S. teens that have STDs say that they still have unprotected sex.
#9 Amazingly, one out of every five teen girls in the U.S. actually wants to be a teenage mother.
#10 If you can believe it, the United States has the highest teen pregnancy rate on the entire planet.  In fact, the United States has a teen pregnancy rate that is more than twice as high as Canada, more than three times as high as France and more than seven times as high as Japan.
#11 When men don’t have to wait until they get married to have sex, then they are likely to delay marriage or never get married at all.  According to the Pew Research Center, only 51 percent of all Americans that are at least 18 years old are currently married.  Back in 1960, 72 percent of all U.S. adults were married.
#12 Today, an all-time low 44.2 percent of all Americans between the ages of 25 and 34 are married.
#13 In the United States today, more than half of all couples “move in together” before they get married.
#14 The divorce rate for couples that live together first is significantly higher than for those that do not.
#15 America has the highest divorce rate on the globe by a wide margin.
#16 For women under the age of 30 living in the United States today, more than half of all babies are being born out of wedlock.
#17 At this point, more than one out of every four children in the United States is being raised by a single parent.
#18 Approximately 42 percent of all single mothers in the United States are on food stamps.
#19 The sexual revolution has caused women to be primarily looked at as sex objects.  In this kind of environment, it should be no surprise that there has been an absolute explosion of pornography in recent years.  An astounding 30 percent of all Internet traffic now goes to pornography websites, and the U.S. produces more pornography than any other nation has in the history of the world.
#20 One survey discovered that 25 percent of all employees that have Internet access in America visit sex websites while they are at work.
#21 Overall, more than 50 million babies have been killed in America since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.
#22 When you total up all forms of abortion, including those caused by the abortion drug RU 486, the grand total comes to more than a million abortions performed in the United States every single year.
#23 The number of American babies killed by abortion each year is roughly equal to the number of U.S. military deaths that have occurred in all of the wars that the United States has ever been involved in combined.
#24 It has been reported that a staggering 41 percent of all New York City pregnancies end in abortion.
#25 One study found that 86 percent of all abortions are done for the sake of convenience.

So what can be done about any of this?

Unfortunately, turning our culture around would not be an easy thing.  Loose sexuality is glorified on television, in the movies, on our radios and in our magazines.  Just about everywhere you turn there are very powerful sexual images.

The following is an excerpt from a recent article by Devvy Kidd
America’s culture has come a long way since the 60s. For decades it has resembled a filthy sewer and shows no signs of returning to decency. Children are being sexualized with markets targeting little girls as young as kindergarten age. Cable television (which includes ABC, CBS, NBC) has become nothing more than a purveyor of soft porn. Sexual imagery is everywhere. The filth used to be confined to porn channels like HBO, Cinemax and others which I have never had in my home. Now, it’s the ‘big three’ (ABC, CBS, NBC) and all the other networks that consistently pump sin and sex into households every night of the week.

Meanwhile, we have raised an entire generation of young males that don’t know how to be men.  Our culture has taught them to be extremely hesitant to be husbands and fathers, and instead it has taught them to be sex-obsessed idiots that want to “score” with as many women as possible.
As long as our culture pushes these values, we will continue to suffer the kinds of consequences listed above.
So what do all of you think about these things?
Do you believe that there is any hope for America?
