The Lebanese “superiority syndrome” may push them to believe that they are the smartest people on the face on this planet. It may even push them to fall victims to the anecdote that God has been so generous with them to make them the perfect country on the face of this earth, but since nothing is perfect, God gave them the worst neighbors, which is why they ended up in this worthless situation.

Superiority Syndrome is not limited to Lebanon, but to most Arab Countries.. This comes in various terms, published or hidden.. Only Oman, Bahrain, Libya and Morocco had abandoned the hysterical competition.. Otherwise; all are Unique, Ideal, Mighty, Smart, Attractive, Historical, Prosperous or Rich.. This is why Arabic Spring falls apart, unable to sustain any meaningfulness..!!!

As a Sudanese however do you think we suffer from this syndrome too ? Like you know our reputation as humble and simple people place as somewhere further away from Superiority Syndrome and I agree, the closest I have seen to us are teh Omanis.

Sorry my Friend.. We "unspeakingly" believe that we know better, think better, much smarter, more religious and more brave.. We care less for any social or behavioral or protocol or fashion trends if not ours.. We ignore and never try to understand why a husband and wife should walk shoulder to shoulder.. We have our choice of colors (sharp), Arabic tongue (non-understandable by native Arabs), destinations (always do prayers to the east) and definitions (Marxism doesn't violate Islam)..

We nomad-alike hide our ego and contradictions under thick layers of good village-manners and un-urban faithfulness.. When Urbanity stormed our lives in 1980th, an illiterate money broker married a lawyer-daughter of Chief Justice..!! When politics ruled, a proud Janjaweed Leader sold his daughter to Dibi of Chad for $24 mln.. Yet we claim manly, honorable and non-materialistic..

However, Malaysians and Sudanese behave alike, never tell the other what we truly think or feel; therefore we both are always decent, lovable and trustworthy.. yet hardly innovative or reliable for progressive accomplishments..!!!
We are resistant to integral and comprehensive change..Sorry buddy; you had just triggered my heartache, and others' curses...!!

If Robert Fisk had described Lebanon as a Rolls Royce with "Square" tires.. Sudan is another with no tires..!!

Moonfleet Eldai Hahahaha uncle Adil, that heartache, not at all. I see that most of the folks from my generation and perhaps even including myself, we are not very nationalistic or particularly proud of Sudan at this time, but perhaps rather more fond of the times the elder generations are reminiscent of. Today the Sudanese diaspora is widely spread around, my inquisitive mind shows me patterns of behavior and value systems that are very distinct between inland and offshore Sudanese. That was striking when I was doing my studies, the folks coming from Sudan were kind of totally different than us in their approach to life and studies.

It will be great to see a comparative dialog/research done in Sudanese migration and integration world-wide.

If we don't tell the others what we truly think or feel that doesn't put us on the same wagon, remember, you have to utter it in order to be incriminated or exonerated, if it was kept within yourself that doesn't

Jehad Makhoul Despite all statistics Lebanon remains the most intriguing country in the whole of the middle east. With limited resources and huge differences among its people, Lebanese manage their way to dazzle worldwide! No other country in the whole world with such limited resources could have endured thirty five years of civil war, occupation by Palestinians, Syrians and Israelis and remained intact. With a barely equipped army and police force, limited financial resources and many differences, Lebanon stands and the Lebanese create their own opportunities and mostly excel! Yes it is intriguing.

Most of the people of my generation and the older, were simply noisy.. Big mouths and words rather than deeds.. Twisted concepts, imaginary patriotism, paradoxical practices and great schizophrenia.. The contradictions between our factual national chronicles and the idealistic national struggles, as given in historical and geopolitics tales..

Yet, my generation had managed to make bigger banners and appealing slogans, as if they had done and achieved the unthinkable; while they had done nothing in any decent analysis..!!

The development we had delivered were product of industrialization rather than planning.. The high ratings were resultant of humble demands, cheap resources, and non-stressfulness.. Regretfully, across the 3rd world (including Sudan and other Arabs) no fair assessment was made to critic the baseless claims of achievement..
By definition; Achievement is confrontation against seizure or stress.. We had got our independence by a signature of Nasser, not by our blood.. This is where our own patriotic history is fake and false.. yet, nice songs to repeat..!!

Both Generation Z and Millennia are not nationalistic by definition; while strive in their endeavor for quality and recognition to upgrade their nations are 1st intakes.. Patriotism has now different meaning and taste all together.. This is not Sudanese, but inevitably global..

I had called, and subsequentially abandoned political activism, for practical code of politics rather than demonstration and publications (which by definition trigger great enthusiasm by playing hide & seek with authorities).. Predicting the Diaspora to be the password for the future and the good governance..

The brilliance of Lebanese culture and people is notable, except for who are more affectionate with the Lebanese downtown-girls.. Maybe our shallow chronicles had only traced some few media and entertainment persons.. The great bloc of Lebanese pioneer technology, academics and management; with exceptional professionalism and efficiency..

Challenges of resources, war and politics had created a culture of opportunists, which had put the normal wrongdoings on loudspeakers.. Regional and global politics had turned the atmosphere into hatred and bigotry, deepening cult and sectarian differences and divides..

The Lantern of Levant lost most of its candles.. Yet; Lebanese are unique, with a distinct heritage of their own; which only became a bloody burden when affiliated to the others..!!

The Apprentice

The famous show of Donald Trump was a kick off of phenomenon; which had spread all over the world since 1998. Many people had been attracted to the show and its famous closing shout: “You Are Fired..”

The 30 mln viewers’ show was a smart creation from the ever challenging and amazing Trump; on how to stimulate the normal curiosity to cherish and applaud offensive attitudes. Despite how viewers had declined to only 7 mln in 2012, the attraction stills alive, while the finale reward is changed from a lucrative contract with Trump Holding, into charity stakes. Today; local versions of the show are produced everywhere.

It is an exceptional show, whereas the audiences hardly exchange comments during the broadcast, or after. Maybe this is its strength, as turned to be a personal agony, experience and learning curve. Also, it is its weakness, as loses the socialization associated with the TV experiences.

The Dawn of 3rd Millennium had witnessed lots of peak phenomenon; which had remarkably changed the way we live and doing business. During 1995-2005 lots of cultural trends and social fashions had invaded our lives and brought new vocabularies, mindset and referrals as well. In one hand the “Go-Get” slogan within the business community had open doors for Greed, Photoshop and Frauds to stamp most of the activities, with minimal ethical hesitations or considerations. These had resulted in The Millennia or Generation-Z, who had been observed with controversial revolutionary approaches and attitudes.

During The Apprentice Show, audience live three psychic and behavioral stats; which constitute its both attraction and commerciality. Notably enough; most of the audiences are professionals with various careers and industries:

The 1st: The Careful Observation; on those contestants, who came along fierce competition to be part of the show. Consciously and unconsciously; every professional dreams of such glorious opportunity to be in the focus of the media. So, to start with, they carefully examine what makes those guys different?

The 2nd: The Intellectual Exercises; which the audience unconsciously participate, whereas every professional would recall similar situations in the real career life. The more the show addresses typical everyday challenges and processing, the more the audience are attached and manipulated.

The 3rd: The Climax; which gradually develops, accumulates the processing with growing judgment on who’s who. Everyone develops a perception and prediction on who will get fired. The experience will live with the audience for few days, while chewing and stimulating triggers, implications and decisions.

The most serious mark this show had left in our lives; is the decline of integrity among professionals, especially the young ones. In one hand they have more bulls, regardless of their true epistemic capacity and fitness; while on the other, they believe in the psychic tools more than the ethical ones. For both generations X & Y; boundaries are always flexible enough to generate moneys; which is their core definition for success, knowledge and eligibility. No wonder, it is the music theme of the show..

Campaigners in Egypt say the problem of sexual harassment is reaching epidemic proportions, with a rise in such incidents over the past three months. For many Egyptian women, sexual harassment - which sometimes turns into violent mob-style attacks - is a daily fact of life, reports the BBC's Bethany Bell in Cairo.

Last winter, an Egyptian woman was assaulted by a crowd of men in the city of Alexandria.

In video footage of the incident, posted on the internet, she is hauled over men's shoulders and dragged along the ground, her screams barely audible over the shouts of the mob.
It is hard to tell who is attacking her and who is trying to help.
The case was one of the most extreme - but surveys say many Egyptian women face some form of sexual harassment every day.

Marwa, not her real name, says she worries about being groped or verbally harassed whenever she goes downtown. She says it makes her afraid.
"This is something that scares me, as a girl. When I want to go out, walking the street and someone harasses or annoys me, it makes me afraid.
"This stops me from going out. I try to be excessively cautious in the way I dress so I avoid wearing things that attract people."

'Deeply rooted'
The day I met Marwa, she was wearing a long headscarf pinned like a wimple under her chin, and a loose flowing dress with long sleeves over baggy trousers.
But dressing conservatively is no longer a protection, according to Dina Farid of the campaign group Egypt's Girls are a Red Line.
She says even women who wear the full-face veil - the niqab - are being targeted.
"It does not make a difference at all. Most of Egyptian ladies are veiled [with a headscarf] and most of them have experienced sexual harassment.
"Statistics say that most of the women or girls who have been sexually harassed have been veiled or completely covered up with the niqab."

In 2008, a study by the Egyptian Centre for Women's Rights found that more than 80% of Egyptian women have experienced sexual harassment, and that the majority of the victims were those who wore Islamic headscarves.

Said Sadek, a sociologist from the American University in Cairo, says that the problem is deeply rooted in Egyptian society: a mixture of what he calls increasing Islamic conservatism, on the rise since the late 1960s, and old patriarchal attitudes.
"Religious fundamentalism arose, and they began to target women. They want women to go back to the home and not work.
"Male patriarchal culture does not accept that women are higher than men, because some women had education and got to work, and some men lagged behind and so one way to equalise status is to shock women and force a sexual situation on them anywhere.
"It is not the culture of the Pharaohs; it is the culture of the Bedouins," Mr Sadek says.

Mr Sadek and women's campaign groups also blame what they call the lack of security enforcement. They say the police should do more to enforce laws protecting women from harassment.

"If the girls were dressed respectably, no-one would touch them. It's the way girls dress that makes guys come on to them”

And the harassers are getting younger and younger.
On the Qasr al-Nil bridge in central Cairo, a hotspot for harassment, I met a group of teenage boys hanging out near street stalls blaring loud music.
When I asked them about a recent case of mass harassment in which women at a park were groped by a gang of boys, they told me the girls brought it on themselves.
"If the girls were dressed respectably, no-one would touch them," one of them said. "It's the way girls dress that makes guys come on to them. The girls came wanting it - even women in niqab."
One of his friends told me the boys were not to blame, and that there was a difference between women who wore loose niqabs and tight ones.
A woman who wore a tight niqab was up for it, he added.

But attitudes like these horrify many Egyptian men - like Hamdy, a human rights activist.
"I really feel very upset myself because I think about my family, my sisters and my mother," he said.
"Before Eid [the festival at the end of Ramadan], I was downtown and I had my sisters with me. It gets very crowded and I had my eyes everywhere, looking around and I shouted at a pedlar who got in their way. In our religion this is something that is not allowed."

The new government says it is taking the problem seriously - although many campaigners argue it is not a priority yet.

For women - like Nancy, who lives in central Cairo - it is a question of freedom.
"I want to walk safely and like a human being. Nobody should touch or harass me - that's it."

As an ex-pat in South Korea, I am fortunate to be part of a society that has thus far rejected feminism.

On Korean television, men are still generally portrayed as strong, loving fathers, husbands, and sons.

Korean women, by and large, still practice the art of knowing when to be strong women, delicate ladies, and, on occasion, delightful girls. Career driven mothers are most definitely the exception and not the rule.

The unity of the family is still paramount here. Divorce is still a stigma that can stunt a woman's social and economic prospects. I don't say "single mother", because from what I understand, the courts tend to award custody to the father, especially if the woman instigated the divorce -- in which case, no alimony.

However, if the woman demonstrates that the father has been unfaithful, abusive, or negligent, these conventions are waived. In other words, Korean family courts are not venues for the highway robbery of men.

I like this society so much that, having married a woman with whom I know I'll go the distance, I have applied for citizenship. But I see a very disturbing trend emerging: a Luciferian attack on Korean children.

Some months back, I wrote about my attempts to strike at what I saw as the root of the corruption. Those efforts landed me in jail. The detectives interrogated me for three days. They wanted to know why I had been harassing certain people. I told them exactly why, and they took assiduous notes. I never retained a lawyer, stating that a man of truth needs no such animal.

TARGET YOUTH
This is all good news. But every time I get on the subway, I see signs of degradation everywhere, and it is almost always directed at youth.

Children are impressionable. Without watchful parents, most of them will imitate the garbage that is sold to them as "cool". The pop music culture here is vile, laced with pornographic dance and Masonic imagery. The boys are being taught that the metrosexual look is hip. I wonder what will happen to those boys when they get smacked upside the head with mandatory military service.

Every time I see a metrosexual boy on the subway, without exception, unless my wife is there to get embarrassed, I take him to task. I walk up to him with my turban and my very big beard. I squint at him until he starts to squirm. By now, people are looking. I create a silent situation. When the tension is sufficient, I bark out at him, in perfect Korean (I'm quite practiced in this):

"Your legs are hairy, but you have lipstick on! No boobs, but you're carrying a purse! Are you a BOY or a GIRL?"
"I -- I --"
"BOY OR GIRL! ANSWER! I AIN'T GOT ALL DAY!"
"I'm a -- I'm a boy!"
"BOYS don't wear lipstick and carry purses! I think you might be a very ugly GIRL!"
"No, I'm a boy!"
"You might THINK you're a boy! I think maybe you're a GIRL who just WANTS to be a boy! And yet, no boobs!"

By now, the old people are cackling and nodding vigorously. I get lots of positive feedback from the seniors when I do this. The "boy" is always cowed. He can't backtalk me, because he is a boy, and I am a man. He usually scampers off the train at the next station. The seniors know what's what. After the foregoing incident, once we have a dialogue going, I always tell them they have an enemy in their midst, and I ask if they know who the enemy is.

You'd be shocked how often they immediately reply: "The Jew".

GIRLS
Another thing I do, though much less often, is to counsel girls who dress like whores. Yes, the whore look is being foisted on girls who spend most of their week in dowdy school uniforms -- so this is mainly a weekend hit. When I see a girl who is obviously under 18 sluttishly dressed and with her face horribly disfigured by makeup, I gently ask her if she is trying to find a boy to have sex. Responses do not vary. There is zero defiance. They are always mortified, and sometimes confused, so I explain to them that the only reason any girl would dress that way would be to attract sexually excited boys.

"Well that's not why I'm dressed this way!"
"Why are you dressed that way, then?"
"Because [insert K- pop singer's name] dresses this way..."
"God made you prettier than she is. Why isn't God's look good enough for you?"

So goes my fight against the Illuminati in South Korea -- via guerrilla tactics, ones that I can't be arrested for.

Why is this important? Well, if I were awake and aware and living in North America right now, I'd have no hope for mankind -- none whatsoever. But I do have hope. The elites still have their work cut out for them here.

That said, even living in the society that I have just snapshot for you by anecdote, I am mightily concerned. I wonder if traditional family values here will be enough to squash the onslaught of Luciferian poison being sprayed directly into the brains of these children each time they watch a pop music show on TV.

They always start with the women and children. Everything else falls like dominos. Where will this go?

Feminism has failed in Korea
Here is a really funny example. There is a Korean breakfast cereal that consists of puffed barley. The pieces are oval and each has a black blotch on one side of it . A group of upstart feministas tried to lobby the National Assembly to pass laws banning this popular cereal.

Why? Are you sitting down?
  They claimed that the puffed barley grains looked like vaginas, and therefore degraded women. Assembly lawmakers did the sensible thing: publicly mocked the lobbyists, and sent them packing. At least, that is the story as was told to me by my university students.
But the children? I can't say. As a stepfather whose Korean teen stepson is militantly homosexual (a real rarity, but nonetheless a fact), I am worried, but again, not hopeless. I believe that if people stand firm for their families, they can overcome the Illuminati, because the elites are nothing without our submission and consent.

The West has been all but won. The East will be a tougher nut for them to crack.

Across their endeavor to advise on political and government issues, the foreign political advisors (or mentors, collaborators, etc; as per your views) use intellectual tips to understand the sociopolitical dynamics in any country. Think-Tankers, Academics, Media Entrepreneurs and NGOs are data mining tools to enable correct analysis and adequate proposals. Apparently, most of them had gone wrong in predicting and understanding the 2010/2012 Muslims Uprisings.

Why..?

Three generations had shaped the local culture within today’s Muslim communities during the last 50 years. They were not that much different from their global rivals; apart from some critical elaborations and affiliations.

To start with; let’s define the main misalignment among Muslim, Latin, Buddhist and Dark peoples; (The author is a Black). These are political grouping rather than ethnic or religious ones, addressing the main domains. The following simple definitions will point respectively to political, economic and social classifications:

• Muslim are mostly fanatic ruled by Dictators, in rural states and generally illiterate.
• Latin are mostly pragmatic ruled by Democracies, in industrialized urban and generally literate.
• Buddhist are mostly coded ruled by Politicians, in dense estates and generally illiterate.
• Dark are mostly mythical ruled by Autocracies, in nomadic style and generally illiterate.

Certainly, both perceptions and expectations are products of confronting and meeting thresholds; namely; governance, habitat and social order. This triangle draws communication visions, protocols and channels. The same triangle defines individuals and their communities, their openness and protectiveness, and their ethical models and penal morals.

Now, it is almost clear why both perceptions and predictions differ among those human groups. Why commentators and analysts would go wrong despite academic and professional referrals. Why people can’t truly align despite identical slogans and clichés. Why terminology mysteriously vary between contents and results.

Going back to the generations of last 50 years; there are dramatic glitches in the Muslim epistemic structures, despite the influx of degree holders, passionate writers and outspoken advocates.

• To defeat the Fantasies; most historical and folkloric legacies had to be scrutinized. 
• To defeat the Autocracy; efforts are required to seed and grow dominating intellectualism.
• To defeat the Ruralness; admission of improper social divides will create cohesive social reconciliation.
• To defeat the Illiteracy; religious education has to be revolutionized rather than fought.

In complacent life styles, an adult generation had witnessed and fueled the political transformations during 1950th and 1960th. Their children had grown, driven by both epistemic mutiny and wishful expectations of peoples’ powers in 1970th and 1980th. Their 2010th Millennia grandchildren had amazing technology tools and opportunistic approaches, simplified in the famous slogan: Go-Get.

So far, this no different from the happenings across the globe; yet results are not the same: media anarchy, political irrationalism and social fantasies.

Why..?

Commentators had united in defining the three generations, but they disconnected them from their epistemic referrals. Therefore; Muslim’s secular elites had failed:

• Despite London riot-alike, they included literates who could not defy their inherited Fantasies.
• Despite Moscow campaigns-alike, they ridiculously confused Autocracy with Statesmanship.
• Despite Paris unrest-alike, they could not establish a debate on social reconciliation and reform.
• Despite Wall Street protest-alike, they could not develop vision or code for advocacy..!

Therefore, majority of Gazans, Tunisian, Moroccan, Egyptian voters had casted for the Muslim Candidates; and will continue to do so..!

People are not choosing the religious slogans, but they are hesitant and uncertain to choose otherwise. In the back of their minds, religion is deep rooted, with lots of confusing Fatwa’s and precautions. It is easy to stimulate the religious subconscious rather than the literate conscious. A historical formula most politicians had failed to deal with, leading to all calls for Secular States.

Simply, this is an urban dialogue; while most Muslims live in villages and slums

اللاتين معظمهم واقعيون وتحكمهم ديمقراطيات ، وغالبيتهم في المدن الصناعية ويجيدون القراءة والكتابة

البوذيون معظمهم يؤمنون بالمواثيق الاجتماعية ويحكمهم سياسيون ، وغالبيتهم يعانون من الزحام والأمية

الزنوج معظمهم أسطوريون يخضعون لأنظمة استبدادية ، وغالبيتهم من الرحل الأميين

 

بالتأكيد ، وعلى حد سواء ، فان كافة التصورات والتوقعات تتفق وتلبية الحدود الدنيا ، وتحديداً الحوكمة ، والموئل ، والنظام الاجتماعي. هذا المثلث يرسم الاتصالات بين الرؤى والبروتوكولات والقنوات. وكما أن المثلث يُعرف الأفراد ومجتمعاتهم ، فانه يصنَف الانفتاح والحمائية ، والنماذج الأخلاقية ، والآداب العامة الجزائية

الآن ، من الواضح تقريباً ، لماذا كل التصورات والتوقعات تختلف بين تلك الجماعات البشرية. لماذا يخفق المعلقين والمحللين على الرغم من المساهمات الأكاديمية والمهنية. لماذا لا يستطيع الناس حقاً ، وعلى الرغم من تماثل الشعارات والكليشيهات. لماذا تختلف المصطلحات على نحو غامض بين المحتويات والنتائج

عوداً إلى أجيال السنوات الـ 50 الماضية ، حيث هناك اخطاء كبيرة في البنى المعرفية للمسلمين ، وعلى الرغم من تدفق حاملي الشهادات ، والكتاب ذوي العاطفة ، والدعاة ذوي الصراحة

لهزيمة التخيلات ؛ لا بد من تمحيص معظم الموروثات التاريخية والفولكلورية

للتغلب على الحكم المطلق ، فمن الضروري بذل الجهود لوضع بذور نمو الهيمنة العقلانية

لهزيمة الريفًية ، يجب الاعتراف بعدم لياقة النظام اجتماعي ، مما يؤدي الى خلق مصالحة اجتماعية أكثر تماسكاً

للتغلب على الأمية ، لابد من تثوير التعليم الديني بدلا من محاربته

في أنماط الحياة المفعمة بالرضا عن الذات ، فان جيل الكبار قد شهد التحولات السياسية خلال 1950 و 1960. وقد نما أطفالهم ، يقودهم تمرد المعرفي وتوقعات تبشر بقوى الشعوب خلال 1970 و 1980. ومن ثمَ أحفادهم ، جيل الميلينيا 2010 ، الذي تمتع بأدوات تكنولوجية مذهلة ومناهج الانتهازية ، مبسطة في الشعار الشهير: أذهب لتحصل عليه

حتى الآن ، وهذا لا يختلف عن ما يحدث في جميع أنحاء العالم ، رغم ان النتائج لم تكن هي نفسها: فوضى وسائل الإعلام ، اللاعقلانية السياسية ، والمتخيلات الاجتماعية

لماذا ..؟

فلقد كان المعلقون متحدون في تعريف الأجيال الثلاثة ، ولكنهم قطعوا الصلات المعرفية. لذلك ، ولو أن النخب العلمانية المسلمة قد فشلت

على الرغم من استنساخ الشغب في لندن ، فلم يتمكن المتعلمين من تحدي المتخيلات المورثة

على الرغم من استنساخ الحملات في موسكو ، فقد تم الخلط بين الاستبداد والحنكة على نحو ساخر

على الرغم من استنساخ الاضطرابات في باريس ، لم يتمكنوا من مناقشة المصالحة الاجتماعية والإصلاح

على الرغم من استنساخ احتجاجات وول ستريت ، لم يتمكنوا من وضع رؤية أو أطر للتغيير
